Played well for the first 25 minutes then lost momentum and Turkey took control as they grew in confidence. Luckily a superb move with Bale and Rambo combining well put a stop to that. I hope that Page doesn't have us sit back now. Turkey MUST come at us, so we should be able to pick them off on the break and add to our score. But we mustn't let them back in by allowing them to keep attacking us. Someone will make a mistake if that happens and we'll concede. Focus hard and do our business properly should see us through.

WTF was that …. Whatever happened to just striking the fucking ball with some menace on target, is that really that hard to do,

Should have had a cricket score if we’d been slightly more than rank in front of goal. We could do with a big GD to move on. Italy should beat the Swiss. Swiss should beat Turkey. We would work wonders to get a result v Italy, best we could hope for would be a point, which would be enough. A defeat against Italy and it’s all down to Turkey holding the line.

Exciting game but we should have had at least two more goals. Ward great shot stopper but between him and our defenders we had some nervy moments from corners and free kicks. We need to vastly improve that area of our game. Our shooting could be better too but we did enough tonight.

Brass tacks ... there is a 5 goal spread in GD between us and the Swiss. If we win, we lead the group. If we draw, we qualify as second. If we lose, it can't be by more than the 5 goal spread allows net of the Swiss win (if they win) against Turkey.

For me, against Italy, it's 3 at the back, with Allen/Ramsey/Ampadu in midfield, Bale/James up top. Roberts and Nico Williams as WBs, Ben D, Cabango, Roden as CBs.

We have enough fire power in that line-up to win, and worst case not lose by more than a goal or two. I can't see the Swiss turning over Turkey by more than 3 goals.

Hope Turkey try to salvage some pride against the Swiss. If we win the group we play Ukraine, Austria or Netherlands. 2nd place gets us either Finland or Russia unless the Danes can get points against Belgium.

Cabango could do well against Italy, I would put him in. He's rested, who knows he might even get a header. Great seeing Roberts score.

Needing to keep injuries/suspensions/fatigue out of the equation, some players MUST be rested against Italy even though we still require a draw to be certain of progressing. Bear in mind that as Italy are definitely through, they will probably be doing the same thing.

I would drop Ben Davies, Ramsey, Bale, Moore, Allen, Dan James, Connor Roberts and Mepham (Cabango needs minutes). Of course we will miss our better players but those coming in will give 100% and bust a gut to show they deserve a place in the knockout stages. My team:

WARD

GUNTER RODON CABANGO NECO WILLIAMS

AMPADU MORRELL JONNY WILLIAMS

BROOKS WILSON

TYLER ROBERTS

I do believe that this team will play flat out trying to impress and could do well against a weakened Italian team. HOWEVER, just in case the players don't gel, don't perform or are badly struggling, with a view to protecting our vital five goal difference, I would load the bench with experience who could come on and steady the ship. What do you guys think?

A well-deserved victory. I am glad Ramsey proved me wrong and scored 👍👏. And Bale was brilliant. Should've scored from the pentaly spot but who cares? With Bale and Ramsey in top form Wales are a totally different team.

A point against Italy, who, I am sure, will have some changes in their starting XI, is crucial to finish 2nd in the group. The teams who finish 3rd will meet the strongest teams in the knock-out stages. So, three at the back, fresh legs in the midfield and up front is what's needed.

Croatia still in it @CroJack because if they beat Scotland, as they should do, four points should be enough to progress. See what you mean in that they're not at their best but a cracking goal from Perisic to grab the point. Thought the penalty was iffy although contact was made.

Croatia national team coach is a donkey, and it doesn't matter whether they qualify or not. They don't deserve anything. Apart from the first 10-15 minutes against England, they have played awful football.

I hope you watched Denmark v. Belgium game a couple of days ago. Look, Kasper Hjulmand is a coach I've been following for many years now. Although they lost both games, the way Danmark played against Finland and Belgium is the way I would like Swansea to play. Relentless attacking football and a total domination. Finland had one shot and it was the shot they scored from. Denmark, although shell-shocked by what had happened to Christian Erikssen during that game, had 22 shots. Against Belgium they had 21 shots, took a deserved lead in the first half, and lost the game. Kevin De Bruyne's individual moment of brilliance was decisive. 33% of the game was played in Belgium third, and only 18% in Denmark's. No team has dominated Belgium so much since the World Cup in 2018 when Brasil national team totally outplayed them.

Look at the player positions.

Yes, Croatia can beat Scotland and go through, but for the sake of game I don't want them to go through. Instead, I would love to see teams like Denmark in the knock-out stages.
