Watched the furst half. What was the second half like? Tom Lawrence was really good and Derby can pass the ball. Huddersfield have some raw pace up front but can't score.
Like yourself I lost transmission for the second half, but as you say CJ both look a threat.
They were all over this on Talk Sport. He's bound to add quality at Championship level, which isn't such good news for us. That said, he might come with the Billy Bigbollocks attitude that could cause disruption. Interesting signing though.

That's OK. While Derby are pissing away mega bucks on that ol' man they're not spending on otherwise improving their squad now, in January, and the next close season. In fact, they will probably be selling.
As a player,yes. As a coach no, cant see that being successful.
Great to see young Dan James open his account for United after coming on as a late sub. In addition to his goal, he drew a couple of fouls from the Chelsea defenders causing Gary Neville to remark that they had to foul him because once he'd gone past they had no chance of catching him.

Oli had good first appearance also. His shot, off target but blocked, led to the ball bouncing to, and being put home, by another player.

Seems that Wilf Bony asked to train with the Swans but they refused permission saying that it was not the appropriate time for different reasons. Not taking sides here because I don't know the facts but seems a bit churlish on our part given that both Wilf's sons are in the academy. Wilf was fixed up at Newport, which pleased him because it's only an hour from Swansea. He went on to say that his family will remain in the city wherever he goes and that, 'Swansea is my second home after Africa - it will always be a part of me. On top of that my two boys are playing with them, so I will always be here whatever happens'. Nice sentiments and it's a shame we couldn't accommodate him.
Oblique thought. Injury prone Andy Carroll got himself a pay-as-you-play deal with Toon. Should Wilf PROVE his fitness and be prepared to do a similar deal, how does this forum react to that proposition?

Providing he is prepared to put in the work, be a leader, etc then appearance money is ok by me. We could do a lot worse .... we have done.

Aye, that did occur to me but I didn't want to prejudice peoples' thinking by saying so in my post. Personally, I would take a fit Bony in a heartbeat if we could do a deal like that. He would create carnage at our present level.

Me too, but if I could choose I'd rather have Ayew than Bony. More pace.
If your looking to play either in the box, then for me it would be Bony, his ability to hold up the ball, his aerial power, power shooting,plus his shear presence in the box. All this of course down to a ultra fit Bony.
