I believe the squad can be augmented to replace injuries up to the first match. So for example, if it turns out that Allen is definitely not in any shape to play, then it would behoove Page to replace him and add somebody like Cooper.

Good to know. I think Cooper deserves a look in. There's a handful of players in that squad who are either injured or have been recently struggling with injury or are playing in lower divisions. Having a strong young player, playing regularly against reasonable opposition, in pretty good form and not injured at all wouldn't hurt y'know?

Oli Cooper has just been called up as a travelling standby. That would make 7 players with a Swans pedigree in or attending the squad. This wouldn't have happened unless one or more in the squad are definitely doubtful about fitness.
