Yeah baby. Slow but finally we figured it out. Lessons learned. Could have won going away with a bit more luck.

Looked like they should have lost 3-1. How did they pull this out? Montero had a big role in saving this match. Forest gave up what looks like a character player. Small size can hurt them on set pieces. Saw more switching the play than last year already but obviously room for improvement. Passing overall seemed more inspired. But most of this match was a nail biter.

A performance not without its flaws in certain areas but who's complaining? Not me!! :) We'll get better; we've learned a few lessons about some players and we've got players to come in. Great character out there today and I thought that Mckay deserved his MOM. But a word for Montero. If he doesn't go into his shell when the clogging starts, which it will, he'll be a match winner for us. I heard one of the comms say that Potter will surely start him as often as possible. Hmm, we'll see. Perhaps his greatest value could be as an impact sub against tiring defenders. There again, the same might be said of Asoro and McKay both of whom could wreak carnage in the same situation.

We could have won by more. Young Sox's header was a great effort and Mckay hit the crossbar, whilst Blades didn't carve out too many clear cut chances themselves. But, in tennis terms, a break of serve is only a break if you hold your own, so we have to make sure that we beat Preston on Saturday and consolidate this great result today. COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BBC stats as follows: (Blades first)

Possession: 52/48 Shots: 12/9 On target: 2/4 Corners: 5/1 Fouls: 6/6

Listening to the post match pundits, one remarked that the difference was at CB where the "Premier League" quality and experience of vdH and Fede was a big factor in our win. They both had good games imo.

Great to see Montero back on top of his game again, hopefully he can stay injury free, his reputation will grow in this division and pull defenders out of the box.

I actually thought Grimes wasn’t too bad as a LB. I’m glad we finally have proper cover for that position.
