That's the joke. But it's quite clear that we've had Eustace in waiting for who knows how long. They've planned on moving away from Cooper for months probably.Plans ... what plans?
that’s probably close to the truth ... if there are no sightings of named candidates at the stadium or fairwood then Eustace was at 1/6 odds as the “planned” successor. Perhaps it was a financial limitation that kept Cooper on hand this long. Think back on the match commentary couched rebukes from Curt et al and there’s obviously been an undercurrent of detraction for sometime. That's the joke. How could he not be worthy of an interviewToshack is not their first choice but surely they must give him a go now .
I’ve sung his praises on WOL. However I don’t know anyone since Socrates who willingly drank from a poisoned chalice.Toshack is not their first choice but surely they must give him a go now .
If I was trying to break into top league management, and I was CT, then coming home to Swansea would be my path of least resistance and greatest opportunity despite whatever cash management constraints might prevail. Clearly I would be familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of a fair number of players that are in the squad this season as being instrumental in their development. I would know the culture of the Club and the expectations of the Club and supporters in terms of the football product. There would be minimal learning curve and acclimation.I’ve sung his praises on WOL. However I don’t know anyone since Socrates who willingly drank from a poisoned chalice.
What's possibly soured the milk is the final tying up of the loose ends, with the yanks slipping in little clauses here and there. If I was trying to break into top league management, and I was CT, then coming home to Swansea would be my path of least resistance and greatest opportunity despite whatever cash management constraints might prevail. For CT, although fraught with risks, I wouldn't call it poison. Unlike Useless for example ... something definitely soured the milk in that deal. Bookies don't offer 1/6 odds on anybody unless it was initially or with high expectation a fait accompli.
Jenkins is still running the show behind the curtains.I hate to say it, but, there are times when you miss Jenkins at the helm.
take your pills … you’ll feel a lot betterI hate to say it, but, there are times when you miss Jenkins at the helm.
I don't take pills but you probaly think I do.Jenkins is still running the show behind the curtains.
If they "failed" ... the Club could graciously replace them but repurpose them into the organization as faithful servants. They are not without ability ... and they are not exactly mercenaries (outsiders that get hired then fired and collect). I doubt that CT couldn't do much worse in terms of match management than Andy Pandy.Shocking, and Winter is supposed to be close to Eustace. Strange turn of events. This hopefulot opens a path for a more experienced skipper. I wouldn't get my hopes up however. Toshack or Tate would be good for the club but I worry what would happen to them if we struggled.
Tate was part of the downfall of the club in 2014. A big turning point.Shocking, and Winter is supposed to be close to Eustace. Strange turn of events. I didn’t know that, CJ.I don't take pills but you probaly think I do.
Swansea City board of directors: Stephen Kaplan, Jason Levein, Huw Jenkins, Martin Morgan, Stuart McDonald, Romie Chaudhari, Bobby Hernreich.
Jenkins stepped down after that failed Dan James transfer to Leeds, but by cancelling it Jenkins made £15m for the club. So, I guess Levien and Kaplan, who both are totally clueless when it comes to football, are in contact with Jenkins when they have to make crucial decisions, especially managerial ones. But, of course, you guys are locals and you often meet the man in the pub. What does he say?
