I would think he'll be with a new club at the seasons start, powerful player, old school forward.
I've always thought him more tricky and skilful rather than powerful. For a small guy he's certainly strong but I tend to think of players like Kane, Carroll and Costa as being powerful - and certainly our Wilfie is when he's fit.

Actually he reminds me of Franny Lee, same sort of stature and plays a similar game.

I can see definitely where you're coming from. Perhaps Franny was a bit more dynamic whilst the Swiss guy has more skill and flair. Mind you, Franny had an explosive temper to go with it!

He looks so old fashioned - no idea why but you could be watching someone from many decades ago imho......
Yes, difficult to put your finger on it why, but, there's something about him that makes him look that way.Charlie Adam has a similar effect.

Forgotten all about that incident with Norman bites your legs. Probably get a 10 game ban or more for that in the present game.

Germany came very close to the exit door last night,94th minute goal keeps them in the mix.

Nail biting finish to the Germany/Sweden game. Got to hand it to the Germans. They did what Champions do. Down to 10 men they never gave up and kept going for it (lesson for the Swans) to the bitter end. And what a goal!! If I was Swedish, though, I'd be a bit pissed off at that defender giving away a needless free kick in that area. Germany are full of quality players that can punish you and they did. Good game.

Also I'd be a bit pissed off for not having a defender on the far stick, pretty obvious what was going to happen, two players on the ball, first touch widens the angle and it has to be a direct goal attempt due to the time element.

If I was Swedish I'd be really pissed off , Boateng clearly pushed Berg over as he was about to score , should have been a penalty and a booking , Boateng would then have been sent off much earlier in the game when he did receive his first yellow . What's the point of VAR if they don't even give the obvious ? Are they afraid of making the refs look inadequate ?

VAR certainly hasn't lived up to it's claims. the outcome is no different really. We have witnessed bias refs, now it seems we are witnessing bias VAR controllers.

It would help in this competition if the VAR refs were a different nationality to the on pitch ref , thus giving a sense of further impartiality .

I don't mind Engerlund winning , its the following media hype and overreaction i can't abide or the simpering pundits in the studio , ánd don't get me started on the commentator who thought we were playing Tunisia for half the game.

Yes, it's the resulting fallout that's the problem. Can guarantee that 90% of the sports pages in every newspaper will be crowing about it with every single sports writer having their say!

I mean Panama, should they have expected anything different.

And captain Harry scored a hat trick. 2 pens and a fluke. ( He did take the pens well though)
The Germans should have been out by half time. But they are still in it so we can't write them off
My money is still on Hazard and co .
