Millers come to grind us down

ls this what happened at MKD before Martin left.
His successor took them to the play-offs after he left. I'm not saying that Martin's work was wasted there but what he left was fine tuned for better results. And that's how I see our situation. He's gone so far, now someone needs to dot the"I"s and cross the "T"s to complete what he can't.

The worst thing is that this team needs just a bit of a managerial common sense, which Martin stubbornly refuses to use, and the things would improve immediately.

You remember how we used to hoof it when under pressure after Benda replaced Fisher? Well, after some time Martin reverted to the same old passing from the back. And here we are now.

You just have to analyse the manner we concede goals, admit the reasons and apply the solution.

Here is how we concede goals:

1. 15 out of 51 goals are the goals conceded from set pieces. Joint-worst in the league.

2. 10 of them are the goals conceded from counter-attacking (sloppy passing and dispossessed in the middle third) and from direct attacking inside our own third (again, sloppy passing and dispossessed).

3. The vast majority of the other 26 goals are the goals we have conceded from crosses.

Solution:

1. Sack the set piece coach and hire someone who knows what he is doing. Even better, sack the manager and the whole coaching staff for not identifying and acknowledging the problem.

2. Stop passing the ball when under pressure and get rid of the slow defenders and midfielders. Or even better, sack Martin, stop passing the ball when under pressure and get rid of the slow defenders and midfielders.

3. Get rid of the slow defenders and midfielders. Even better, sack Martin and get rid of the slow defenders and midfielders.
