Dan gone

Nothing confirmed yet. Allegedly United are going to pay £15m and loan him back to us. That's what Alan Nixon says, though Nixon is full of crap.
Dodgy move by United that! The yanks would probably try and sell him again,

An hour ago Nixon said United offered £12m , the Swans owners want more.

I don't think United are going to loan James out. They need fresh blood and some pace up front. Only if pre-season shows he is not ready to step up then we can hope to get James on loan.

With his showing against City plus his undeniable pace I don't think he'll be too far away from a first team place with them. I think he could even supersede Giggs.

We are pathethic. Man United are going to pay £50m for 21-years old Crystal Palace right-back Wan-Bissaka and only £15m for Dan James.

Yes. so much for our Messiah Mr. Birch.
It's more our clueless owners and Jenkins who didn't sort out James contract when they could - in 2018. Birch can't do much now, James is still on academy wages and has one year left on his contract. Lose him for free or get £15m now? Birch is in a weak negotiating position, he doesn't have any leverage, and can't refuse such an offer in our financial situation.

It's quite irrelevant to us who James goes to, I would imagine when the window opens there will be numerous offers and possibly a few with loan back offers, wouldn't surprise me to see the continentals getting involved yet. When Man.U. City etc. are interested in a player other clubs will have a look at him. At £15M who isn't going to be interested.

Reading today that Man Utd are officially interested in Dan at circa £15 million. Worth more in today's market but other clubs know how strapped for cash we are so any player we sell will be a hard sell to get top dollar. That's what happens when you have 'peasants' for owners.

Been reading from various sources, including the BBC, that his fee was anything between £15 and £18 million. If £22 million is indeed the figure, it is far more reflective of his value. Would just like to thank Dan for his service, some great memories and wish him every success for his future.

If he goes ... he enters a squad with delusions of grandeur that fails to perform to expectations when the going gets tough. He goes from a highly supportive environment to one where there will be players stepping on him to get one inch ahead. Will he raise his game and his character to prevail or become Sinclair and slither into obscurity.

That's true but none of the Man United players run as fast and work as hard as James does. I'm sure he will be a hit at Old Traford if he is given enough time on the pitch. United fans will love Dan's kamikaze style of play as much as Liverpool fans love Salah's. The only thing I'm worried about is Ole's plan to play Dan on the right wing.

No matter what we think about Ole, he is doing the right thing by selling the big lump Lukaku and adding pace up front. Martial, Rashford and James will probably be United's front three in 2019/20. And if Ole wants to compete with Man City and Liverpool he'll need a similar setup: pace, technical ability & work rate.

Anyway, United's gain is at the same time a huge loss for the Swans. We are a different side without James.

Reading that OGS is getting rid of the prima donnas that did for Mourinho. I think that Ole will take to Dan because of his work rate apart from anything else. If United do get rid of the chaff, and I include Pogba and his attitude in that, and replaces them with hungry players of talent like Dan then I can see that team taking a first step to regaining their previous status in the top six. But if results go against OGS he could be gone by Christmas.

The latest reports say £17m with add-ons.

I suppose it may as well be £222M. as the club won't benefit from a penny of it.
Yes, good luck for the future Dan.

Probably not but possibly another nail in the coffin of the owners as they have to show where the money has gone.
