Oh well. Montero is back. Let's hope we don't have to spin him out on loan. Who else do we have in the U23 that can move something like James. Is Asoro anywhere close to being ready; he's had a season to get smarter and bulk up.

Same. I was surprised Maric didn't get more first team action. Also Tyler Reid. I liked him, too (already signed with Swindon I think).

So ... there is video on the internet of United training sessions and glimpses of Dan. Not conclusive by any means, but perhaps understandably he looks a tad in awe of those around him etc. Let's say, not looking as sharp etc, despite the fact that it's been reported that he's put in a heavy personal training regimen to be ready.

Question: if for some reason he doesn't make their 25 man squad .... could we get him back on loan.

Yankee, I'm thinking that Dan might be nervous thinking of the bad experience he had at Shrewsbury where he just didn't cut it. He's left his comfort zone with us and his friends and knows he has to justify his price tag to demanding fans who've become used to seeing world class players in their ranks over the years. Bit of a scary prospect for a young lad who will feel out of his depth at first.

But he shouldn't worry. He has an abundance of talent and hopefully OGS will carefully nurture him into the group until he finds his confidence. When he does, I feel sure that the United fans will take to him as we did and give him their full support. Mind you, if he takes time to get to grips with things, as you say, it would be a great idea to have him back on loan.
