Bobby's Boys having a bit of a struggle.
The 'revenge' scenario is gaining momentum by the minute with Luke Shaw the latest to add his voice to the clamour for England to make Wales pay for their gloating and disrespect in 2016. This could go badly for us unless we show some passion, pride and aggression in the game. I'd like to have said talent and ability first and foremost but, being honest, we've got fcuk all of that at this level have we? I'd pick Bale in case we get a set-piece somewhere near their goal but Ramsey shouldn't be anywhere near the team. I wouldn't even give his arse the chance to pick up some splinters. He's gone, finished, kaput and his inclusion keeps much needed energy off the pitch.Have read many articles today about the forthcoming game between us an the old enemy. Every single one of them mentioned the delight we showed when Iceland knocked England out of the Euros. And they ALL took the view that this was England's chance of revenge on a grand scale. What price our gloating back then in today's currency? Maybe everyone should have kept their big mouths shut. Engand will be hard enough to beat anyway, almost impossible given the way we're playing right now and, if they're fired up and hell bent on hammering us, it won't be a pretty sight. And you can be sure that their fans and the English journos and pundits will be reminding them to do just that on a constant basis. Wales to win 2-1 then!
Oh I dunno, I suspect some of the players would welcome being let off the leash. I hear Jay Fulton only got back in the team after he promised Martin he'd stop running around so much.
Canada played excellent football. They don't have as much quality as the Croatian lazy donkeys but their manager is doing a really good job.Agree about Herdman - his team play with energy and purpose always seeking to attack.
Has he got Welsh connections? A Herdman (Geoff?) played in the front row for Swansea RFC in the eighties.Change of subject, but if Russell Martin doesn't work out at Swansea, I'd be very interested to see what Canada's John Herdman could do. They've been a big time surprise outfit so far, and I love their positivity. 22 shots against Belgium, and they're giving Croatia a game tonight too.
I don't think so, but then I've only had a brief glance at his wiki pageHas he got Welsh connections? A Herdman (Geoff?) played in the front row for Swansea RFC in the eighties.
Speaking of that, I would expect the South Korean striker who scored 2 headers against Ghana will have some interest as well. Gue-Sung Cho plays in Korea, 24 years old.Change of subject, but if Russell Martin doesn't work out at Swansea, I'd be very interested to see what Canada's John Herdman could do. Don't think he's Welsh, he's English but played amateur league in NZ while managing the women's national side there. Managed Canadian women's nationals as well and Sunderland youth squad when he was quite young.Has he got Welsh connections? A Herdman (Geoff?) played in the front row for Swansea RFC in the eighties.

Swans have been working during the break, signing Seb Debrowski to a contract.
