Could be a banana skin this as Reading had a 6 point deduction which, otherwise, would have them just 4 points behind us in the table. And they have Andy Carroll up front who could cause our CBs all sorts of problems given the right service.
Nonetheless, we should have too much for them and I expect a win. BUT, as others and I have incessantly repeated, we need to inject more pace and intensity to our game as rival teams are now well aware of how we play and what they need to do to combat it. Speeding up our game is one way to confuse them and put them on the back foot - IF our players are capable of doing that.
Should we succeed, as
@Jackflash has correctly stated, we will be nicely placed heading towards the New Year, for a realistic tilt at the top six. If we are in a decent position at that time, it just might attract some decent players to sign for us in the hope of getting a promotion on their CV. It's all there for us. We just need to maximise the opportunities that come along. Tomorrow is one such opportunity. Let's not blow it!!
