SWANSEA CITY V READING.

Once again league positions favour us, together with a home fixture. I've always felt Reading as being formidable opponents. My most memorable meeting with them obviously our 2-4 victory over them at Wembley 2011.
Depending how other results go, a win should put us in a position for an attack on a top six position.

Could be a banana skin this as Reading had a 6 point deduction which, otherwise, would have them just 4 points behind us in the table. And they have Andy Carroll up front who could cause our CBs all sorts of problems given the right service.

Nonetheless, we should have too much for them and I expect a win. BUT, as others and I have incessantly repeated, we need to inject more pace and intensity to our game as rival teams are now well aware of how we play and what they need to do to combat it. Speeding up our game is one way to confuse them and put them on the back foot - IF our players are capable of doing that.

Should we succeed, as @Jackflash has correctly stated, we will be nicely placed heading towards the New Year, for a realistic tilt at the top six. If we are in a decent position at that time, it just might attract some decent players to sign for us in the hope of getting a promotion on their CV. It's all there for us. We just need to maximise the opportunities that come along. Tomorrow is one such opportunity. Let's not blow it!!

Watched the under23s yesterday on wolves tv live from Landore. ( we lost 0 2 )
Some observations
Mcfayden on left wing looks our best prospect from those on show .
Rushesha had plenty of ball at wing back but never attempted to take on their full back , frustratingly stopping the forward move and repeatedly passing backwards to his defenders , he surprised me once by playing the ball sideways instead !
Whitaker was disappointingly anonymous , he should have been a stand out at that level but only stood out for the number of times he gave possession away .
No one playing yesterday looked ready to step up to our first team .
A hugely disappointing performance. 😞

What’s the deal with Cabango. Nowhere.

Fulton and Dhanda …. Surely they can command a place ahead of Walsh … can’t they
