Yes, I did a double-take too! But Phil Thomas, a very respected football journalist in the Sun, thinks they are. His piece about the Championship being in a "murky mess" with very few teams spending money to improve and many owners looking to sell up, included the following observation:
"Preston were nearly sold last season and could still be at some stage, while Swansea's owners have been trying to get rid almost longer than anyone can remember."
Really? This is news to me and I guess to most of us. Our owners, unfortunately, have often repeated that they remain committed to the club and, what sources I have, possess no knowledge whatsoever about them selling the club.
It would be too much to hope for that Mr Thomas knows something we don't but has anyone heard anything at all about this? Even rumour.
