Sheehan's last stand ? Coventry Away .

Prediction Champ
Friday nights game sees the Jack Army away to Coventry .
This will not be Sheehan's last stand as the Swansea hierarchy are nowhere near to appointing anyone to replace Duff , word is out that the package they are offering is no where near what an experienced coach would want , word is also out amongst agents that Swansea should be avoided , or so the Swansea Independent has posted . They are a responsible team of reporters who only post what they can legally back up , so I have belief in their latest research.
I hate the owners for what they are doing to our club but my main hatred is still for the sellouts who took the money and run away from their responsibilities and gifted the Wanks with a cash cow that they have consistently milked to the detriment of our club season after season .
My sad prediction is a 3-0 home win , Coventry being on a good run against top teams and should easily brush us aside.

I hope I'm wrong and the team can put in a convincing performance, one that's much needed for the team and us supporters to end the year on a positive note .

There might be a hang up over title and scope of responsibilities and authorities as well as money. The Club titled Duffer as Head Coach not manager. That coupled with other constraints over responsibility and authority can be a stumbling block in the British game for many.

As for Sheehan, his points harvesting rate so far has been >50%. The dire capitulation against Soton was a disgrace. He openly recognized that and no doubt made the point to the squad. At the very least Sheehan doesn't try to hide behind platitudes and blarney. I like what he's trying to do with the Grimes/Fulton/Walsh/Pato midfield. Time will tell whether that's the real solution, but at least it seems to have shown positively so far - best use of resources etc

That said, Fulton has been pants recently. His rating against Soton was 3, Grimes 4 and Pato 5. Walsh has looked promising in glimpses but we won't see the best of him until he gets a run of games following his long spell out with injury.

Some trivia - Coventry manager, Mark Robins, has never beaten the Swans in 11 games of trying. There have been 6 draws and 5 defeats to the Swans. As for tonight, he stands a very good chance to get his first win. His team are in form and the less said about our recent performances the better. I see no chance of a win but hope we can scramble a draw. And I hope we can find a decent manager sooner rather than later but our owners have seen to it that the position has become something of a poisoned chalice. Thanks for nothing, you greedy arseholes!

I don't have a good feeling about this one, feels like 3-1 Coventry but then again these are the matches we surprise in. Could be 2-1 win, Lowe is due and Pato can continue his good run.

I'm no fan of the owners but they went out and bought players this window. They shouldn't have let Whittaker go, they haven't brought in the best players. They hired the wrong manager and that has hurt us more than anything this season.

Not got much going for them have they? Rank amateurs so far as our football is concerned and nothing more than speculators.

Darling and Cabango as centre-backs; Humphreys as a full-back; Parker, Grimes and Fulton in the midfield; Bolasie and Walsh behind Paterson.

Confusing line-up. The Athletic has it represented like this:

I think it might even be a 3-4-3 like this:

Darling - Cabango - Humphries
Parker - Fulton - Grimes - Tymon
Walsh - Paterson - Bolaise

I also thought Parker was a midfield player, though he was on the bench recently and the Swans commentary feed referred to him then as a central defender, so who knows?
