Bizarre referring decisions in the Spurs v Chelsea game, alongside some of the bizarre decisions during our Sunderland game.

In the space of a few minutes - if that - the Sunderland player went through the back of Ashby on the right touch line - foul given no card. Then, Fulton in the center of the park went for a loose ball, got there first, played the ball and of course their player arriving late was contacted by Fulton ... foul and yellow card. Makes no sense. Totally inconsistent ... to be nothing but polite.

Wales only drew 1-1 with Turkey but had they won they still wouldn't have qualified as Croatia beat Armenia; so well done @CroJack, very pleased for you despite my disappointment. The referee and, imo, his equally incompetent/corrupt VAR officials, have much to answer for regarding the result tonight. The penalty they awarded Turkey in no way was as clear cut as at least TWO Welsh claims, including one rugby tackle, and Wales also had a third claim ignored out of hand. Ben Davies was penalised for doing something that you see a dozen times every week in football without penalty - it's considered normal defensive play. The referee was totally selective with his decisions and imo was biased against Wales. Am I biased? Not in this case; I'm calling it as I see it and commentators and pundits appear to be in complete agreement with my view. Are some referees and VAR officials bent? The answer is a resounding YES in my opinion and culprits should be sacked, fined or even jailed if it takes that to stamp it out.

As for Robert Page, I've made my feelings clear about his fitness to be our coach but, as we now have play-off games to contend with, I suppose he has to be retained for now in the interests of continuity and to avoid disruption. But as soon as the Euros are over I would kick his arse the distance of the M4 out of the job. He presided over a World Cup display that dubbed us the WORST team in the competition and managed to get only 1 point from 6 against Armenia which sees us yet to qualify for the Euros. My message to Robert Page - piss off, you've caused us too much damage and the fans don't want you.

Still seething about that fcuking referee. Pundits reckon the issue is clear cut - either he should have awarded three if not FOUR penalties or NONE. How the hell do they get away with it again and again? It must be sanctioned at the highest level. Of course we know there's no corruption up there :ROFLMAO: just think Sepp Blatter, Michel Platini, Jack Warner and many others.

I see Steve Cooper has been sacked by Forest. Being honest I wasn't his greatest fan when he was with us although he did get us into the play-offs, so credit to him for that. And he was light years better than Duff. I think he's been unlucky at Forest. He got them promoted to the Premier League, kept them there and they were unlikely to go down this season. I doubt he'll be unemployed for long - I understand that Palace are very keen. However it goes I'd like to wish Steve all the very best in his future career.

Andy Pandy is worthy of respect. He has accomplished much with limited ability. It'll be interesting to see where Forest end up after this quasi-panic move.

To be fair to him, he has the ability to play well-organised, defensive football, which makes him a good Championship manager. But when you are managing a lesser Premier League club, you need a lot more in your toolbox to be really successful.

Forest owner has a reputation for being a madman with unrealistic expectations. I know they have only one win in their last 13 games, but they are five points above the relegation zone. There is no reason to panic, especially when you know that Luton, Burnley and Sheff. United are bound to drop.

How is it Forest, Stoke and Sunderland have all fired their manager and signed a new one and we don't even have any hint of signing anyone? The love Cooper gets from Forest is nauseating

Say what you want about Huw Jenkins but the man's succession planning was a huge part of the Swans rise. The new owners seem to lose coaches with absolutely zero idea of who's next.

I feel like at least a couple of those other teams appointments were already secretly a done deal before the old coach was fired. Schumacher seems a solid pick-up for Stoke.

Our lot seem to be randomly knocking on doors asking kindly if someone - anyone - would like to manage a football team please 🙄 might as well be selling encyclopaedias

Whittaker with another goal for Plymouth yesterday. I was listening to Talk Sport today where they were doing a review of the Championship and they mentioned him. They said Swansea didn't want him which they found really bizarre and couldn't understand it. The damage was done by Martin? who didn't rate him. I don't think Duff had much to do with it as he reckons Whittaker went into his office to demand a move as by then he was totally fed up with his treatment at our club. Some of our recent managers have a lot to answer for.

Whittaker is the only significant takeaway from Martin's entire tenure in my view. Under Martin, Swansea really didn't progress as a team and managed only two mid-table finishes. But Martin's alienation of Whittaker cost the team a young prospect with significant upside who is now starting to bloom for a division rival. To add insult to injury Swansea didn't even turn a profit on the deal.

Goals are what the sport is about and Whittaker can create and score them at this level. A reliable creator and scorer will always be worth more than a mediocre manager. Ironically, mediocre managers often point to the lack of such players to excuse their mediocrity. Martin actively got rid of one, and then left. Cheers fella.

Whittaker with another goal #13 I believe and an assist. Thanks, Mr Martin and thanks to the suits for selling him for peanuts!

Rooney sacked at Brum and we play them next in the league. Wonder if that's good or bad for us? Heaven forbid he's now available and, knowing our owners, might be in line for us! If he did come though it should be for zero salary given what was taken from us to pay him when he was at DC

Nice to see a properly taken penalty as well. There's no saving those however tall or athletic a keeper may be!!

So what's the take away from that game .... Williams who? Did they miss him? Doesn't seem like it. Is their offensive strength due to Williams or the players doing what their natural skill set and footballing brains tell them to do?

Good questions. Guess we'll find out as the season progresses. But one thing's for sure - County have a far more potent strike force than we've got albeit in a lower division. But the climb from Conference to the second division hasn't affected them. And so long as our best finisher isn't played in his most effective position we won't be emulating them any time soon.
