The girl commentating said the stream was only available GB and NI.
Cheer up, Cro, you're not missing much.
There may be sound on Swans match centre, she says.

Its a poor stream, cutting out frequently. It cut out just as eibar scored 5mins before half time.
Eibar in total control, 95% of first half played in swans half. Swans losing possession far to easily and seldom crossing the halfway line. No pressing or coordination evident. V poor first half.
That blooming airhead commentating is doing my head in, she calls goalkicks freekicks and waffles nonsense most of the time.surely they could have found someone better than that to commentate on the game ?

Wow match center makes it sound like the swans were playing well and unfortunate to give up a goal. Get there'd be some bias but wow.

Played well for the last ten minutes. That's just not good enough .
I was very disheartened by what I watched tonight.
Eibar dominated without getting into second gear , even so we could have equalised with Dan James clean through the middle and Dyer unmarked on his left but he miss hit his shot and it was like a pass back to the keeper.
Apart from Amats header we had one shot at goal , even for a pre season friendly alarm bells must be ringing in the potter household.

Blobster, do you think this squad is ready for the Championship and if not which positions should we strengthen to be ready?

Oxford is trashing Bielsa's Leeds. 3:0 at half time.
Sheffield United 1 : 1 Inter Milan, also at half time. Strong Inter squad with Mauro Icardi up front.

Hard to tell until window closes and we know who's still here and who comes in.
We need the obvious midfield general, today's starting line up in midfield were anonymous except for dhanda !
Routledge needs to walk away , we need more than just oli up front , he doesn't cut it as a lone striker but is excellent when we play two up front. The youth we are trying is admirable but they need some experience around them , we pushed higher and pressed hard in the last 10 mins tonight and all of a sudden the movement, triangles and passing were in place , but why didn't we try to play like that from the off instead of sitting back with no challenge and just watching Eibar pass the ball about (without creating much) and allow them two soft goals while the defence failed to switch on ?

Thanks for the reports, guys. Was unable to get a stream tonight where I was, so your feedback is great. Mind you, I have to say that for once I didn't mind not watching it in the least as I had a great night.
Good! You didn’t miss much. The classic “why did it take 75 minutes for us to start playing with any purpose?” style we know and love.

Winning the ball back in opposition third is the easiest way to create chances and score goals, even if you play against a superior team. So you are asking the right question - why on earth don't we try to play like that from the off?

It always puzzles me that most obvious and simple things in football like running, moving, passing, high pressing, shooting, quick transitions and commiting bodies in opposition penalty box, seems to be rocket science for some managers and players.

We are not talking here about extraordinary skills or more complex things like tactics and understanding of the game dynamics (this requires a little bit brain), but simple things not hard to understand and apply on the pitch.

We sing from the identical song sheet. I would also add fitness to play the game properly, as all too often, players are afraid to commit too far forward because they know they can't get back if the move breaks down. I know this for a fact because, even at the comparatively lowly level I played at, I knew my time was up when I could no longer make the runs and put in the effort that was needed. My business commitments didn't allow me to put in the proper training and my game suffered as a consequence. And it was a dramatic fall-off that made me call it a day when, had I been able to train properly, I could have been effective for another 2/3 seasons.

But there's no excuse for modern day players not to be as fit as they can be. It's their full time profession/career and they are highly rewarded for it. They have nothing else to do other than make sure that they are as prepared as they can be to succeed. Unfortunately, there are always those who even cheat on that and just go through the motions. It's why character and attitude are such highly valued traits by good (and successful) managers.

PS: It's why the 'real' Ivor was still able to play well in a tough, physical league when he was in his fifties. His fitness was superb and I've seen him run fit teenagers into the ground during training. That was being a pro!!

Couldn't agree more Ivor, It was even evident in the pre-match warmups at the Liberty, there were those that really went through the drill as instructed by the trainer, and a few that just put in half hearted attempts.

Quite simply, if we could get Wilf FIT, I'd love him to stay. I think his striking ability, his hold-up play, his touches around the box, his sheer strength and power together with his aerial ability both in defence and attack and his experience, would be invaluable in our effort to get back first time. He's a leader, respected in the dressing room and would make a good captain. But he has to be FIT!!!!!

As you say,his holdup play in this division would be fundamental, especially if we played a 4 4 2 with Oli feeding off him, also if he gets the laces behind one in or around the box ,there aren't many Champ. keepers would want to be in the way of it.
If we have the strikers fit it wouldn't surprise me to see Potts resorting to a 4 3 3 for certain games.
