WIGWAM AT THE LIBERTY

IMHO Manning's crosses have been our best chance AND his first touch is consistently outstanding
Mate, I was talking about the first half. His overall play in the first half was poor. I expect more from him. But other Swans players were awful, so he was together with Oko-Flex and Fulton our bright star in the first half.

Manning had one excellent cross, one recovery after he'd been dribbled past, one blocked cross, one through-ball, and one clearance in the first half. And, of course, a beauty of a goal.

In this video (Manning's every touch in the first half) you can see overhit crosses and corner-kicks, loss of possesion, backward passing, and leaving the near post when Wigan scored.

Listening to the post match interview, Martin sub’d Flex because he wasn’t doing “it” the way Martin wanted. Not robotic enough? Seems to me that the message was sent out that it’s damn how effective and dangerous you are do it the way I tell you or else.

Not got much more to say about the game which is something I don't want to dwell on. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 77-23 SHOTS: 13-5 OT: 3-4 CORNERS: 6-3 FOULS: 10-13 GOALS: 2-2

Overwhelming possession but look at the respective ratios for shots/on target. Playing at home we couldn't beat a team firmly in the relegation places but no doubt Martin will be beating his chest about how much of the ball we had. Shame we could do fcuk all with it only scoring from a speculative shot and a very soft penalty. We are not good enough plain and simple no matter how much Martin bangs on about our 'courage'.
