Something I'd already thought of and will be doing shortly.Nothing is worth putting my card or banking details on line.
If it ain't out there you can't be defrauded !
I know too many people who have lost money through their details being on the net , this includes some very savy IT people .
They can stick their £ 50 quid.
That's £100 in total I've turned down this season from 7otb.
Maybe our captain can contact them and point out to them that some of their customers are losing out as they can't collect their " winnings "
I understand and respect your position about gambling but I won't accept the bit about 'not earning'. We win and lose as a team, as we hear so often in football, and every member counts. It might well be that your high score in the future would contribute to us winning again. You're taking part and that's all that counts. It's a pleasure to have you as part of the team. And, like you, I'd still play the game even if there were no prizes because I enjoy it.I personally do not gamble. I enjoy taking part in the game, but I too will not be taking up my 'prize' which I did not earn as my score was rubbish this week.
That answers my query then, BTG. Thanks. I'm also inclined to bang the lot on one even money game and take my chance. As it happens, I got an extra tenner for finishing in the top 30 as an individual (as did JoD I assume) so I'll be staking £60 on one game and keeping my fingers crossed!! Will post on here how I do.I'm in conversation with the site about splitting the £50 among various bets, no definite answer yet.
I should have guessed, if you make a winning bet your stake is not returned. It's their stake.
So, for instance, if you bet £50 for Chelski to beat the Scum (who wouldn't ?) at 2/9 you get a return of £9 odd, that's all.
I'm thinking now, why not lump it on the swans to beat forest? That will show my support for my club, and the odds will be evens or thereabouts.
Note to self: take spare underpants to Liberty.
I sent them a nice but pointed email a couple of hours ago expressing our disappointment for the change in the prizes this season and explaining why. I told them that if at least two of our team were losing out, this could well be replicated throughout the country and the game will lose a certain amount of popularity. I suggested a compromise for next season. I didn't tell them that I enjoy playing the game anyway.Maybe our captain can contact them and point out to them that some of their customers are losing out as they can't collect their " winnings "
