We could have won the FA Cup, or at least be in the final. This generation of players have been robbed for a great opportunity. Who says we can't beat Brighton, Wolves and Watford?
Exactly CJ. We technically beat one of the reputed best teams in the world, that certainly doesn't make Brighton, Wolves or Watford unbeatable.

Watch us go until the end of the season.
The partnerships around the field are now cementing especially Celina and James and Roberts and Naughton, the latter is improving every game and is no longer stealing a living. We have Grimes and Byers together as well. The method of playing is now set and the players all fit in perfectly, the only problem we have is when our subs come on, they are often shoe horned in to the detriment of the team, and what use is putting on Mcshy anyway?.
The good outweighs the bad and the lads are now a Joy to watch.

The teams currently in traps 5 and 6, are playing each other on Saturday, a draw would suit us. As long as Agent Rangel doesn't let us down next Saturday that will be 2 points neare to both, or 3 points nearer one of them.
Come on guys, the way we're playing the playoffs are doable.

Villa won tonight, so our new target is Bristol City, 9 points ahead. Best outcome this Saturday - they lose to Villa and we beat QPR.
Both Bristol and Derby have a game in hand as well. Even if Bristol lose to Villa they'll still be 6 points ahead in case we beat QPR. With five games left that's a huge advantage.

Come on CJ! This is our only chance of a trip to Wembley. As we were short changed in the FA Cup we are entitled to believe it will come out right this time. Until that is no longer possible we should not throw in the towel.

I wish.

But Bristol and Derby can afford to lose one and draw one game and still be ahead. We can't, we have to win them all.

And, in my opinion, our kids need one more season in the Championship to be ready for the Premier League.

I would agree it will be a momentous task, and mostly being out of our hands. Regarding being Prem. ready there's always a little confusion between talent and age, my take on this is if your good enough then your old enough, and I think the Man.C. game proved they were good enough. I think all that's needed is an experienced front man, the sort of calibre of Llorente, and he and James would have a field day.

Young talent is great, but they need experience to be competitive in the Premier League. One more year in the Championship would help them to gain that experience and perfect Potter's ball.

And we have a tiny squad. We need a pacy clinical finisher up front (not a striker like Llorente), another goalscoring winger instead of MacShy, one or two left-backs and definitely a new goalie.

Maybe they'll gain that experience more in the Premier league rather than in the Championship. It hurts to use Cardiff as an example, but there first half of the season in the Prem was Championship football, Due to being in the Prem. there game has improved considerably well, playing much better football now.
I quoted a Llorente (type of) striker, with the accuracy of James crosses there'd be a lot of ariel goals to be scored as Llorente proved in his time with us,and not having the likes of James feeding him.
By the way, was Bony a pacy finisher?.

Most of Llorente goals were from set piece deliveries. We need a pacy striker to get into the box to get onto a cross after James has got past the defenders. Mcb has been a yard short all season and is not strong enough aerially to be a consistent threat at set pieces .
Llorente Swansea goals from free play, headed 5...…. right foot 4 …….. left foot 3. = 12 from 15 scored.

I understand what you are saying, but that's exactly what I am afraid of. That we go back to a style of play with a static striker up front.

Give me a striker who has some pace and constantly moves up front, someone like Son, Aguero, Firmino, Suarez and Vardy. And another Dan James on the right flank. Crosses don't matter in the long run. We now play like Manchester City and Barcelona do - with pace, tempo and movement.

There is a reason why Pep didn't want Bony, Klopp didn't want Benteke and Poch is keeping Llorente on the bench. And Manchester United would be better off without Lumpaku.

Bony was unplayable in 2014 when he still was able to move a bit. Since 2014, when Monk and Jenkins got rid of our Spaniards and Svanselona style of play, our football have been crosses and headers, Montero & Siggy to Bony, Montero & Siggy to Gomis, and Montero & Siggy to Llorente.
When Montero was injured we still had Siggy and a striker, but when Siggy and Llorente were both sold, we only had Montero and his crosses.

And now Potter plays Routledge as a striker and Oli as attacking midfielder in absence of Celina.

Yes, I agree, but I feel the only striker we'll sign will be a freebie. and we've been there many times. Llorente will possibly get more game time now with Kane possibly being out for the rest of the season.

Didn't count them so one or two might have been missed.

Looking at that I'd have him back in a heartbeat, taking into consideration what we're likely to get as a freebie. He's certainly not afraid to mix it in the box.
