LAST GAME , CAN WE FINISH IN STYLE ?

Millwall are the visitors for our last game of this disappointing season .
Recently we have seen signs of an improvement in our general play , let's hope that continues and we can finish in a manner that will give us some hope for better expectations next season .
Recruitment and retainment will be essential during the summer break , let's hope they get it right this time , dump the deadwood and replace with something better .
Let's hope the decisions are made in house and only rubber stamped in the USA , Interference from overseas is in my mind our biggest Recruitment problem .
COYJB go all out for us in this one , after all its Millwall and no one likes them !

Despite all the turmoil and change this season, the Swans record in the standings is very similar to Martin's first season, which was plain-sailing compared with everything that has happened during this.

Given how much of a disaster the Duff experiment was, and how long it took to appoint Williams, and all the stylistic upheaval all this has caused, I'd say this isn't a terrible outcome.

If anything, it bodes well for next season - if this team can match a comparatively pain-free first season under Martin, what can it do with Williams given a full summer, a full pre-season, and a team that now has the gist of his tactical system?

At the beginning of the season I didn't expect anything more than a mid-table finish. So it hasn't been a disappointing season for me. Yes, our football has been crap most of the time, but it's been better recently. It's clear that Williams wants to play high intensity football with a combination of pressing all over the pitch and passing from the back. With more quality and pace, we should finish higher next season.

We've also had injuries to key players. Ginnelly, Key, Walsh and Allen have all been out for long periods with injuries.

We have conceded more and scored less than we should have. When it comes to scoring goals, we simply lack quality up front, especially in the striker position. But the wingers and attacking midfielders should be scoring more as well.

It's tough not to be jealous of Ipswich who look to be on their way to automatic promotion unless they really screw up. Remember when that was Swansea.

I was hoping we could compete for the last playoff place, but I knew we wouldn't have much of a chance against Leeds, Southampton, Leicester unless everything went right for us. Felt deflated after selling Piroe.
