Huddersfield Away , last trip before the break.

Huddersfield will be up for this one after a fine 2-0 away win at QPR in midweek .
Let's hope we can end with a flourish and not a whimper !

As an aside we have 2 friendlies arranged for the break , they are having a trip to Scotland and will play Hearts and Rangers .

I hope that we will play our least used players in Scotland ... Cullen, B.Cooper but not Fisher.

On Saturday, please let's start Cooper, Cundle, Grimes, Fulton in midfield ... bench Piroe and play Obafemi ... go back 4 and have Flex on LEFT wing ... play Naughton instead of Lati at RB.

Do you think Cabango and Ntcham will play?

On recent form it would probably suit everyone if Cabango did take a rest, although a Swans defence without him looks very suspect. Ntcham on the other hand wouldn't be match fit if he played every day between now and the next World Cup, so another 60 mins won't hurt him at all.

Really, really want to see Cullen get 60+ mins in both friendlies. With Obafemi and Piroe firing blanks, Martin can't afford to waste the chance for a looksee.

Been thinking about our defensive problems and lapses by some of CBs ... repeatedly. Defenders can only work as hard in practice as the forwards make them. Look back ... Williams et al used to have to work against Michu and Bony ... now that's a work out, every practice. Our current lot are working against Piroe and Obafemi. Not exactly in the same league are they.

The vast majority of goals we have conceded this season are goals from open play, either from crosses or from stupid defensive mistakes (the ball given away in dangerous areas). Practicing with Michu and Bony in training sessions wouldn't cure the root of the problem - playing from the back executed by the players who are not up to it, neither technically nor mentally.
Give the chances we have given away to the players from the Sunday League and they would score from them.

Martin persists with Piroe …. How many chances can a player get at being mediocre.
And Cullen still not even on the bench! :( Martin's 'Pet Policy' will be the eventual cause of his downfall make no mistake. A blind person would have 20/20 vision compared to him in football terms. With all due sympathy and respect to those unfortunates who do suffer from that awful affliction.

He really should have sent Cullen on loan if he wasn't going to utilize him. I like organizing matches during the long break, if it wasn't bad enough this break could lead to more injuries on the pitch.

Banks of 5 and 4 from Huddersfield, will be hard to break down , they'll just sit back and keep their shape and hope for our mandatory fuck up at the back .
