Comms talked about Russell wanting to see if the team stuck to his plan. And what plan would that be exactly? is it the one where we continually pass the ball in front of the oppo without even getting off a shot before we finally lose the ball then desperately have to defend a counter? Because that's EXACTLY how we played.
We don't have ONE player with pace; we don't have ONE player who can beat someone and take them out of the game; we don't have ONE player who can consistently play smart through balls to set up chances. Speaking of which, Piroe, and Cullen when he came on, scarcely had a kick so piss poor was the service to them.
Said it before and I'll say it again, we need a player like Jack Wilshire who has the quality to properly service the strikers. Okay, I accept that he's way past his best but he's also way better than anyone else we have in the team at creating chances. We've got younger players who can do the running for him leaving him to do what he does best.
