Fulham v Swansea City

Going to be a tough game against a top six club, I feel we're capable of doing it, the key word Martin has to impress upon the squad is 'Consistency'.
We play like two different teams in the same game. sometimes second half outplaying the first, and vice versa, never or rarely see 90 mins. of good pressing football.

It’s got to be a quality 90 minutes and our best XI on the field to start.

l have seen enough of Hamer to know that I don’t want to see any more. Hamer is An adequate reserve, but I’d much rather deal with Benda’s bumps and have a dominating technically solid and superior keeper behind our defense.

a few players pick themselves … Piroe, Grimes, Ntchem, Laird, Cabango, Bidwell … Benda. I would add Fulton to that list. Downes seems to be growing in his role though still not convinced. Others would argue that Paterson belongs on that list … and he is producing moments that make a difference for sure. He is also demonstrating glaring lapses of quality when in front of goal. On balance I would still like to see Whittaker given a chance in that Paterson role … whatever that role is because admittedly I still don’t get it, which is on me. Whittaker will take defenders on, will go past them, and can score from inside and outside of the box.

fulham is the first acid test of the squad, the starting XI and Martin himself. We play half a game or half hearted and we could get spanked with no chance of recovery.

Interesting game in prospect. As always, the oppo dangerman will be just that against us and I'm expecting Mitrovic to be a real pain in the arse for our CBs. But this game will be a good litmus test as to where we're at. Fulham will be in the reckoning come season's end and if we can put in a really good performance against them, it would augur well for us for the future.

Only thing is, we must now start turning good performances into wins. This game might prove a bit tough to do that but I'd settle for a fighting draw.

FFS ... Hamer is still in goal. WTF is wrong with Benda.

The selection is beginning to settle down. Bidwell at LWB. Laird at RWB. Naughton is some sort of sweeper role. Piroe leading the attack with Ntcham and Patti in support.

Strong bench although I would much rather see Whittaker there over Walsh.

A win would do wonders. I think we're going to make a mistake and sell Whittaker next window. Doesn't make any sense he's not been on the bench. There isn't another striker on the bench. Walsh over Whittaker?

Inevitable, Mitrovic scores for Fulham, not marked close enough and all ball watching .
I called it in an earlier post. The goal was offside and VAR would have ruled it out. English officials doing their usual stuff against us. Fulham getting through our press way too easily and Cabango hasn't got the pace to play where he is.

Hamer stood on his line. Benda would have charged the Fulham forward. Hamer concedes. Benda would likely have saved.

Just realized Manning is starting in place of Bennet. And Cooper is one the bench. Since when is Manning an international CB
