Jay has to score that.
Better than nothing.Brutal two points to drop
Fucking Monk
CJ is absolutely correct with his comment. The points we continuously throw away with simple, basic mistakes, is just not good enough. Being outplayed by a better team is one thing but gifting points on a regular basis to inferior opposition IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. We should be far higher in the table and the fact that we're not is down to our own stupid fault. Sort it quickly please, Mr Potter.Conceding two goals against ten men when you are 2:1 up is fckin amateurish.
Unfortunately I don’t think Nordfeldt would have handled that goal any better. Neither are much good with crosses into the box. They don’t dominate their 6 yard area never mind anywhere outside there. They are not UK developed keepers ... it’s not in their dna. They don’t seem willing to learn and adjust and acquire the skills to do that.Mulder, above absolute all, cost us 2 points tonight. Our U18 keeper gets that win for us. Amateurish is a good word for this
I respectfully but strongly disagree with that notion. Mulder was putrid in those first 2 goals, unacceptable. Nordfeldt would have certainly stopped 1 or likely both. I’m not saying Mulder hasn’t had his moments of brilliance and helped us earn points along the way, but yesterday he cost us 2 point above any other excuses. He needs to be sat down for a match.Unfortunately I don’t think Nordfeldt would have handled that goal any better. Neither are much good with crosses into the box. I remember Lynn well. Did he have that big moustache when you knew him @Yankee_Jack ? And you told no lies about his kicking ability either. He had a kick like a mule and often booted it box to box as you said. Left footed if I remember correctly? But he was also a brave, old-fashioned type of keeper who took everything in what he regarded as HIS box. If I was back defending I made damned sure to keep out of his way!! Terrific stopper and a great character with it.I remember being told a story by a team mate back in the Ponty days of a keeper called Lynn Davies - former Swansea reserve to Millington and Wales U-23 International. He could punt from one box to the other against the wind.
Was that Don A ? If it was, wasn't he related to Ivor A from Ynysmeudwy? Ivor was a tough centre half who died young from a heart attack. Shook us rigid.@ivoralljack ... I remember he kept pestering DA for a set of tires that never had a chance in hell of showing up.
