Yes that's the one. He was the Sec when Ivor was appointed. Some time before that I was appointed club secretary after the club almost went out of existence and I had the lovely job of getting all the outstanding fixtures played before the end of the season. I got it done but had a few up and downers with the FAW and Ponty council in the process. Norman Lawson, ex Swan, was our manager at that time. He was the one who persuaded me to play for Ponty and we went there together. We also went on the FAW coaching course at Llanelli during that time. As for Don A, he was a nice guy and I got on well with him.

Our three goals on Tuesday...

One scored by Dan.
Two scored by Oli made by Jeff.

If we sell Dan and Jeff today that's three goals we would not have scored.

We need these two players who commit defenders draw fouls and make an impact.
If we sell them we have no game changers on the bench. We will be stuffed.

It doesn't look good. What I'm reading is that we'll let Leeds have him for £1 million but they have to do a deal for £10 million at the end of the season. (I suppose the thinking is that if Leeds go up they can afford that). What makes it worse is that Dan appears to want to go having rejected the option to renew his contract with us.

I don't suppose you can blame him, he being a Yorkshire lad and no doubt he'll be on more money than we can offer him with the very real prospect of Premier League football next season. Our lack of ambition is coming home to roost. The fans want players to help us return to the top tier but the board want money, money, money money and more money.......... As far as they are concerned the club and the fans can go fcuk themselves.

I fully understand the lad wanting to better himself but I'm disappointed that he didn't stay a while to repay the club for the coaching he's received that helped make him the player he is. There again there's every chance that the owners wanted him to move on so they could cash in. I hear Rooney wants a pay rise to help pay his fines.

If the board wanted to keep him they would have offered him a new contract. I don't blame him for going , I do hate the greed of the Muppets in control of our club.
From premier league to championship feeder club in two windows
League one becons in the very near future. Probably before the parachute money runs out.
I am so angry right now.
