Watford (A)

So the streak continues, Watford are on terrible form lately. 1 win 5 losses in the previous 6 League games, add in an FA Cup loss as well. They lost 1 nil to Millwall after giving up an early goals. Fans complain they are stuck playing possession football when they fall behind in matches, not putting in an inspired effort to score. They didn't have any real chances at goal.

Fans want Ismael out. What has happened to them, they've free fallen. They're still 12th in the table on 44 points. Swans have a real chance to pounce on them here.

A familiar face in goal for them, Ben Hamer. Does this give us confidence? God forbid the former Swan scores against us with some extra time header on a corner. Who is going to take Pato's spot in the lineup? Seems like it's not a good one for him as no news has come out in almost 24 hours now. Hopefully he will be fit and ready for the start of next season.

Williams is going to see if he can replicate his plan across more of the squad than his recent starting XIs. No doubt Pato will be rested against Watford at the very least to assist recovery. Seems to me that PP moves inside, Lowe starts LW. But there are other possibilities. It depends on who else has to be rested.

We should use the same tactics we used against Sunderland and Blackburn - press relentlessly in the first half, score 2 or even better 3 goals and then shut the shop in the second half.

I'm afraid Pato is going to be out the rest of the season, not optimistic. I know we have tried to play Lowe in the middle during his first run with the team to disappointing results. I wouldn't want Lowe to replace Placheta on the wing. Cooper would be the more natural fit. He could try and put Cullen in that spot and start Yates. Most fans will not like that but I would not be surprised to see that.

Damned right I wouldn't want to see that. I'd like to see Culls play off big Myk up front and I don't even want Yates on the bench. The rest of the line-up can dovetail with that but, no doubt, Williams has his own ideas. I just want to see us perform at our best for two halves of football and not one.

I'd go 2-1 as well. Watford aren't in good form and this is a highly possible three "W"s on the bounce. That said, I'd settle for a point as every one we get now is valuable. On another tack, how good was Phil Foden last night? His display for Citeh in their 3-1 derby win was just all round superb. Showed what character and commitment to the cause allied to talent can get you. Williams should show a video of his performance to our lot.

I would take a 1-0 in our favor. just like Blackburn we are playing Watford at the perfect time. They are faltering and there's reports that the gaffer is losing the dressing room. I don't see any excuses for us, we should be leaving with a win.

Not so much an excuse as a reason - if we don't get anything it'll be because at the moment we're incapable of putting in a 90 minute performance. If we can do that we should get something from this game; maybe even a win.

💩 Yates starts, Cullen on the bench.

Surprised to see Pato fit enough to start.

Allen is rested for Fulton.

Good to see Abdulai on the bench. No Myk.
