With apologies to OFAH we might have a better chance if we were managed by Del Boy and Rodders! Seriously, though, this is a game we should win given Hull's problems at the moment. They haven't got a W on their record for the last SEVEN games and they're in a worse predicament than we are. Yes, believe it or not, there are teams doing worse than we are right now and Hull is one of them. Beaten 0-3 in their last game against Blackburn, they had no fewer than 12 of their main players out for whatever reason, the majority of whom will also miss out against us. All set fair for a win then!
You might think so but given our propensity for losing games against teams with poor recent form, nothing can be taken for granted. Amazingly, despite that awful game on Tuesday that Sky (bet they regretted it!!) chose to cover, we haven't been booted off the schedule, so we can all look forward to another X rated performance on Friday night. However, with absolutely no conviction whatsoever, I think we might nick this one. Why? Well for me it's more about the players than any master plan that Cooper can deliver. He hasn't got one. I'm hoping that they are feeling so ashamed about Tuesday, they'll put in that extra effort to deliver something for us. Personal pride and all that....... if they've got any.
So, given that we will be playing a side bang out of form and decimated by injuries, I'm going for a low scoring (what else?) one goal win that Cooper and the board will hang their hats on for the following run of crap performances. That is the most likely scenario but, ever the optimist, I'm hoping that if we do win it will prove to be the catalyst the team needs to kick on and show us that they do indeed know how to play football.
