Cooper and Cundle continued to solidify their starting roles. Can’t help but think that Cullen would have finished better than Obafemi, but obafemi’s speed was essential in his goal. Would really have liked to have seen Flex on the field when it mattered

We could/should have won by 5 or 6 today. Oba the main culprit. His work rate and movement are excellent but he's not a clinical finisher although he did finally take his goal well.

Average age is young and plenty of time to improve. And our best players were sitting this one out. I hope Allen is ready for the World Cup, if not, I hope he will be fit for the second half of the season. I can see us getting battered in a playoff final again unless we get a weak opponent. Automatic promotion is probably the only way we go up this season. But still have a lot of games left to play and a lot of work to do.

The first time any club has won three on the trot in this fixture. Ironic that Oli Cooper's father played in midfield for Cardiff and Oli himself had a number of unsuccessful trials there. Their loss our gain and it goes to show that clubs don't always recognise talent when they see it - or that some players are just late developers. Some stats:
