I'm still trying to figure this one out, Swansea City has chose to sue Russel Martin for breach of contract related over the payment they received from Southampton. They wanted the full fee of £2 million from a Premier League club but got half of it because they had already been relegated. I don't understand why they are suing Martin instead of Southampton or having the EFL sort it out.
I feel like this exact situation should have been addressed in the contract, no one had the foresight to see it coming somehow. I don't see how they can win a lawsuit against Martin.
