Swans vs Stoke

First vs last and can we grab another 3 points before the (grrrr) international breaks.

On paper this is a walk in the park and that's the part that makes me nervous; this is the exact banana skin we've stepped on so many times the past few years. With all the ex Swans in the lineup I can feel one scoring against us.

Stoke are in turmoil, they need to sack their manager and fingers crossed that will after 5 PM Saturday and not before. If they get boosted by his sacking they may be up for this one as it's a chance to hit the top team off their pedestal.

It should be noted that Stoke haven't been thrashed and have some decent results. A draw against Brentford away, a narrow defeat to Forest; they aren't getting the points on the board but we can't assume it's a case of showing up.

Doom and gloom aside, we are top for a reason though we need to be more assertive when at home - Cooper needs to get a fire under the boys for the start of this one. We should be getting at Stoke right from the first whistle and a couple early goals will settle any nerves and make for a comfortable afternoon. I don't think it will be a high score but a 2-0 would be pleasing though a few goals more would be nice.

Sums it up nicely. We had a good win away in the week and we must now make sure that we don't undo that result by being slack against Stoke. It's a bit like tennis where, once you've broken serve, you have to hold your own to make it count. Stoke won't be easy and the lads should focus on getting another 3 points that will ease us further away from some of the chasing pack. I think it will be close with one goal in it, maybe 2-1. COYS!!!!

Same starting XI as midweek, with Bidwell and Byers coming on to the bench in place of Wilmot and John making way

Wooh! Anyone got a link to a stream?

Needed an early goal and it's nice to get it so early.

Leeds losing and down to ten men.

Naughton has to come off sadly.

Why have we slowed the game down so much? This is the same complacency that screwed us vs Reading. We should be shoving the ball down their throats.
