Swans vs Forest

Based on recent performances our team picks itself.

Fulton, Grimes, Hourihane are the starting midfield. Everybody has to sub'on and play out of their skin or wait for injuries and suspension.

Ayew and Lowe .... there's a no brainer.

Roberts and Bidwell ... similarly.

Cabango, Bennett, Guehi ... similarly.

And with that we have flexibility and horsepower on the bench to replace tired legs and make tactical shifts. So let's not be shy about using the bench.

@Yankee_Jack Unlike Woodman, Hamer is excellent one-on-one. What I've read about him is that he can pull off some fantastic saves, but also make some schoolboy errors. You know, some players trive in some clubs, and look like clowns in others. Since he left Charlton, where he played regularly, he has mostly been a second choice goalie.

Huddersfield fans couldn't wait to see his back when it was announced he would be sent on loan to Derby, but, as you know, Huddersfield were terrible at defending in both the Premier League and later in the Championship. A shaky defences make most keepers shake.

Derby fans were angry with him for his howler in the last season's play-off game against Brentford, but such things can happen to the best goalkeepers in the world. Actually, I've seen worse errors from Buffon, De Gea, Neuer etc. Of course, Derby fans forgot how many times he had saved their ass. And why were they not angry with their defenders for the first and third Brentford goal?

Here is his howler:

Call me superstitious but 4 of the 6 Championship games today were AWAY victories and Forest have won their last three Championship away games ... just saying.

I hope we don't take this game for granted because the last game was closer than the score implied. Forest had more possession, SEVEN more corners, which is indicative of pressure, and had only 2 shots less than us with 15 to 17. We had one of those games where our strikers hit gold with Cullen's two first touch goals helping a lot. Also, Forest are on a good run and likely to provide us with stiff competition.

I still think we'll win but we'll have to work pretty hard for it and if we show any signs of complacency by believing our own hype, we'll come unstuck. We'll need to focus, play with energy and accuracy and put in a shift for the full 90+ minutes. No easy games now as upper half teams fight for promotion and lower half teams battle relegation.
