I am sure we would have seen Montero in the last 30 minutes had it not been for that injury to Nordfeldt. Potts hands were tied and his decision to bring Fer in was right, we needed more bodies in midfield.

The question is: Why did we stop playing in the second half? Why did we lose concentration? Why was our passing so bad in the second half?
Can't really comment on this as I only heard the game rather than seeing it. possibly Preston going in 1-0 at H/T brought the hair dryer treatment from the manager, which then raises the question, did they stop us playing in the second half.

For the last 30 minutes yesterday, we were running on fumes. Note to Potts - no matter what talent your players have, if they don't have the legs to translate that talent into action, they're going to struggle. Laudrup underestimated the demands of PL, Europa and Cup football and never had the depth of squad to cope with those demands - particularly when injuries and suspensions took a further toll. My major criticism of him.

The Championship is even more demanding, more physical with far more games to play. We desperately need 3/4 players in the loan window preferably with one or two of them possessing some muscle. Look at the difference Fer made to the game when he came on. That said, we still have the likes of Dan James and George Byers who CAN play at this level and should be added to the mix. I think that those two in particular, have the ability and the hunger to succeed at this level.

So, Potts, the message is clear. DON'T FLOG YOUR WILLING HORSES TO DEATH!! Until we loan in some players, use players like James and Byers because they won't let us down. Okay, they'll need to bed in but let's do that in the early part of the season to give them game time and some others a rest.

Fabulous news congratulations both - for wedding and honeymoon planning purposes the months between March and February are best avoided if you don’t love rain :ROFLMAO: seriously though keep us posted on your plans I’m sure we’d all be available for advice on where to go or avoid (not that you’d be planning a trip to Cardiff) and meet up if you’ve a mind to - you’ll have to get Mrs Miff signed up on here too - all the more the merrier x

Is it me being daft or what? (Don't answer that!) Thing is I can't find any reference to our attendance yesterday. Okay, I admit I haven't tried that hard but it's not in the Sun when every other attendance is stated. Neither is it on the BBC website or that of the Swans. Anyone?

From where I was sitting it looked like normal Prem crowd. Only 1000 or so down, and most of that number missing from the away end.
So, either the so called plastics have hardened or the alleged figure of 15000 season tickets is actually true.
