Glad it's just the north end we are playing!
Will there be any SCSA activity on Saturday?

Feeling pretty confident of the three points, another week in training will gel the new boys even more, been a long while since I've had a good feeling about our side, and a manager who's substitutions are game changers.

A day wasted today with the " open training at the Liberty "
They won't be working on anything new just keep ball exercises as its on view to the public.

Maybe I'm looking too much into your comment but I don't think it's a day wasted at all. I think connecting with the fans and as a team is exactly what this team needs. Of course there is always a need for tactics but feel the motivation and togetherness is just as important. This team needs to pull together and become one. They also need to restore some good will with the fans. I think that's exactly what Potter is doing and it's extremely important.

I went to watch the previous " open training " session , half paced , usual drills and shooting practice.
The team would benefit more from a more intense private practice at this stage of the season.
The coming together with the fans will come from their efforts on the pitch in the league games . Today was almost effectively a day off for the team !

Yeah and it's a super long season so having fun is important. If this helps the team bond and grow as a group and feel part of the community that's huge! I'm sure Potter gives them plenty of tough sessions so taking a day to have fun is just as important. Players who are happy play better just like any of us at work. Building a team unity is just as important if not more important than tactics. Everything Potter does seems to support this as his goal. He seems to get the balance of working hard and creating one cohesive team. This is vital.

Both the last two posts have merit but it's too early in the season to say which is the right course of action at this particular point in time. I suppose we'll get part of the answer when we play Preston on Saturday.

Anyone going to have a go at predicting the Preston NE score, I've stuck my neck out and predicted a 3-0 win in a previous post. Interested in what you guys think.

Judging on their game against piss-poor QPR we have a good chance to beat them. They created absolutely nothing from open play for 90 minutes, and scored a freaking lucky looping header, after a free-kick.
