If we keep Jordan, and that's a big if, we could potentially have a very mobile, fluid front 3 in Ayew, Asoro and Celina.
There will be place for Oli in the long Championship season, even assuming Jordan stays. I am opposed to two striker formations though and I have a much higher preference for Jordan to Oli personally. But no place for young Sox (Oli) then, Mith?
He's been almost anonymous in preaseason.I still hope we keep him. His can be the experienced head to guide the others and his work rate can set an example for them. I think that right now Jordan must be feeling pretty low. When Andre joined, Jordan was probably looking forward to a fruitful season in the PL with his brother. Now both aspirations have disappeared in a puff of smoke - Andre to Turkey and us into the EFL. He'll probably be sold on but I'd like to keep him as I think he'd fit in well with the new blood.
And he was our topscorer last year in the Prem. If he could do it in a better league, I don't see why he would get worse in a worse league, particularly if the creativity and pace around him is better this year (relatively speaking) like it appears it will be.He's been almost anonymous in preaseason.
Ayew with Villa in the championship: 2 goals in 21 games .... and then he came to us - nice to know we acquire top scorers. There will be place for Oli in the long Championship season, even assuming Jordan stays. Villa was a clusterfuck, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt considering he was capable of scoring in the top-flight last term with zero creativity around him.Ayew with Villa in the championship: 2 goals in 21 games .... and then he came to us - nice to know we acquire top scorers.
McB with Barnsley: 9 goals in 17 games .... in a team that was relegated.
This is going to be interesting.
Celina will play as an attacking midfielder. That's what GP says.Celina can play as an AM
As in Lukas Nmecha from City .... another 19 year oldIt sounds like Nmecha is on his way to Wales tomorrow too. Surely that means Ayew and/or Bony are on the way out.
My guess is an understudy for McB for a couple years. I think the kid will be good but will require time. Dhanda is Championship ready imo, I'm not so sure with Nmecha. As in Lukas Nmecha from City .... another 19 year old
We are having him on loan.... We don't get players on loan to play in the under 23's... He will be here to get first team experience and to toughen up... Anyway I recall a young French kid did ok in the world cup???My guess is an understudy for McB for a couple years. I think the kid will be good but will require time. Nmecha is no Mbappe, regardless of the multiple consonant beginning of names lol.We are having him on loan.... We don't get players on loan to play in the under 23's... He will be here to get first team experience and to toughen up... Anyway I recall a young French kid did ok in the world cup???
I think that’s the point of the loan.To have an extra striker on the bench without paying much for it.Edit: the loan bit is pretty disappointing. Unless Potter wants to fairly frequently play with two striker systems, I feel this loan move is going to go the way of Oliveira and Schecter, though I would be happy to be proven wrong.
That French kid played at the highest level in the past two years, first for Monaco and then for Paris St. Germaine. Scored plenty of goals against top teams. We are having him on loan.... Abraham scored 27 goals for Bristol City in the Championship.Last season Nmecha played 33 games from City's Prem Lge 2 side and scored 26 goals at a rate of 79 minutes per goal.
