Put your shirt on it

New shirt sponsor " BET UK " with an RAF roundel in front of it will adorn the front of our shirts this season.

How much loss of revenue will they suffer as kids shirts can't feature betting logos , the kids want full replicas , not plain white ,
Shot themselves in the foot again , surely Pearlman could have done better than sourcing yet another betting sponsor .

For anyone interested the kit will be revealed on Monday.

Seems like lazy marketing to me. I suppose they weighed the difference between the top offer and the best of the non-betting offers and set it against loss of revenue of the kid's kits.

But short-sighted for me. They need to look after the kids because they will become the next generation of supporters with the right encouragement.

Maybe the reason is they've also got sponsorship from the sister company '21.co.uk' for the training sportswear.

Seems to me that Pearlman just like Jenkins is yet another overpaid waste of space.
Have you seen the costs of the hospitality packages for next season ? They don't seem to realise we are no longer in the premiership !

In defense of Pearlman ... with whom I have had a pretty detailed conversation ... he is a breath of fresh air and a mover and shaker in our commercial operation dragging it out of the stone age. Price points not withstanding, which will always be an issue in our area, his responsibility is to somehow bridge the gap between EPL media revenue and basically jack shit - and don't tell me about parachute payments as they've done little to nothing for Villa. In the grand scheme of things, with last season's payroll carrying forward, we're going to be pretty close to broke.

Pearlman is worth HJ's weight in gold in comparing the two. He knows what he is doing.

I'll have to take your word for that @Yankee_Jack , its just I can't see that he's made much difference since he replaced that moronic buffoon sellout Dineen , apart from opening a shop in union street that's always empty of customers when I pass.

I’d rather a betting sponsor than anything with ‘low cost’ in the title - like low cost vans - especially this year of all years ffs!! no disrespects to any local companies - good luck to you but it’s just not inspiring is it? Quite apart from the obvious connotations of being cheap........

I've always thought that myself to be honest. Low cost implies 'budget' and 'cheap' (much like my enforced buying habits of late :() but it's a pretty apt description of Jenkins! We don't want that sort of reflection on the club though.

Terrible logo too... I know that seems like I'm nitpicking but good branding matters! I've been really enjoying the lack of sponsors on the kits at the world cup. I wish they could be avoided completely, and the Championship allows for three :/

Excellent point ... what is the Club’s value system. Shirt sponsors need to be aligned with those values and amplify them.

Betting houses ... what is at the core of their value system ... make money from suckers?

I don't mind having a betting company as the main shirt sponsor. Betting is legal. Many other well known companies are acting/have acted much worse morally. Some of them, for example, colaborated and supported Nazis, and used Jews as cheap labour during the IIWW. Many of them are still using underpaid child labour.

But, man, this BetUK logo is so uuuugly.

Maybe it’s just me, but their logo looks out of sorts on our home shirts. They just look a bit off to me. The away shirt it looks a bit better on.
