Preston v Swansea

Preston's start of the season has been a disappointing one. Lost the first three fixtures against Hull (H), Reading (A) and Huddersfield (A), won deservedly the last one against Peterborough 1:0 at home turf.

Here are the highlights from these matches

Preston 1:4 Hull

Reading 2:1 Preston

Huddersfield 1:0 Preston

Preston 1:0 Peterborough

Judging by these highlights their weak link is their goalkeeper. Another good news is that their front line is pretty ineffective. Though, Preston are dangerous from counter-attacks and crosses.

Those stats for us are a bit like the curate's egg; good in parts. They are not a top team and we should have a decent chance of three points if we continue to progress. Hopefully our possession game will frustrate them but I'd like to see us get off far more shots in a game than we are currently managing. In other words I'd like to see more end result to our possession. Once we start doing that consistently we should climb the table.

I'm anticipating Piroe and Whittaker to start plus one other ... Lowe or Paterson?

Neither Piroe nor Whittaker are shy about shooting from outside the box given a glimpse of the goal.

Our only problem in this game is going to be Sinclair for all the usual reasons.

It's a tad amusing when he describes the uniqueness of what he's trying to do. For us, we're 13 to 14 year veterans of this. For the most part it's nothing new. We brought this style into the Prem in 2011.

What you just quoted. Every time he says that ... why reference Andy Pandy and the past regime at all ... what he's indirectly pointing back to is the manure he's having to shovel out of the stable just to get to a point of bona fide fitness for purpose.

Cullen starts alongside Piroe , with Paterson behind them , Laird and Bidwell wing backs with Grimes and Fulton in midfield with Latibeaudiere , Bennett and Manning as back 3 with Benda in goal
Lowe drops to bench as does Whitaker .

What does Whittaker have to do to start alongside Piroe ... save a penalty.

What's the deal with Cabango ... another COVID issue or injury?
