At least we are not buying £15 - 20 m flops on huge wages. That's an improvement .As you say, same old same old. It's becoming clear that we are driven by the need to control the wage bill. But it still leaves a nasty taste to see players being touted at half their "value".
It's really sad to say, but trying to be positive, a "coming down to earth" was probably needed. The Premier League was artificially shielding us from some really terrible financial decisions.At least we are not buying £15 - 20 m flops on huge wages. That's an improvement .
