Commitment and heart by the bucketfull , great team performance even woody showed up . Only Hourihan was poor , everyone else gave 100%

It won't be easy at the liberty , let's hope our fans can make the same noise as Barnsleys and make the place hostile and let's have a homer for a ref like Barnsley had !

It's never easy is it. Woodman played lights out. Nice plays by Naughton and everyone just about. I liked the attempt we had with Hourihane and Ayew.

An awful game of the ol' British football. Pulis would be proud of both teams.
Couldn't agree more @CroJack . Bloody awful game of football ... but we won! Let's hope we can keep the ball on the ground at the Liberty and have a ref who doesn't let them get away foul after foul (without even giving out a yellow card to Dike or anyone on their side!). They made us play their game and what a hoof ball game we played. Thank God for Guehi, Cabango and Woody who were 'immense in defense'.

Thought Woody was great (distribution still shit though) and Nauts had a fine game as well. But it was the young CBs who excelled though, literally manning up to some very physical play. In all everyone contributed but I have to disagree with bringing on Routs. He never held the ball up and if pace was required to get in behind then young Whittaker would have been the better option. And, yes, I would have subbed on Smith for Hoory.

It was a crap game in football terms. I reckon the patches of white on the ball was snow when it eventually came down from the heavens and air traffic control at Leeds/Bradford airport must have been very concerned at times. Our passing game, very fragile in any event, totally disappeared in the second half but I suppose we had to fight fire with fire and boot it out of our third whenever danger threatened. So I will excuse it tonight.

Thought Steve Cooper spoke very, very well in the post match interview, fair play. (y)

... but we won
Could've easily lost it.

I am not expecting us to play like Man City under Cooper, but when we keep the ball on the ground we are much more dangerous.

I have nothing against playing long balls when there is a plan. But we just gave the ball away and invited pressure. Barnsley wanted chaos in and around our box, and they got what they wanted. We were forced to constantly defend.

Our high pressing was non-existent. Our counter-attacking was non-existent. We committed bodies up front only at set-pieces.

Yes, I'm glad we won, and I'm glad we fought bravely, but against such a poor kamikaze team we could've and should've been smarter.
