Even in football there has to be common sense. Roberts sitting while Invisible plays defies common sense. I realize that Invisible has scored 5 with 2 assists, which makes him our most productive midfield player, but frankly I get more excited with Fulton on the ball around the box than Invisible. Roberts has scored 5 with 7 assists ... speaks for itself. Roberts in midfield with Fulton and Grimes would be a solid option. Roberts and Ayew are two peas in a pod ... you never know where they'll turn up next ... impossible to mark.
Could be that Cooper, without wishing to broadcast it to other teams, just wanted to rest Roberts whose all-action displays must be taking a toll. If anything, Nauts is probably the better defender and Cooper probably thought that was no bad thing given Barnsley's style of playing. And, being fair, Nauts didn't disappoint putting in a really sound display with the rest of the defence yet still finding time to set up Ayew for our goal..
Granted Roberts is a far better attacker as you say but Cooper set his stall to defend and counter which would not have been my choice either. However, his decision was vindicated by the 1-0 lead we take back to the Liberty and he will be further vindicated if we defend or increase our lead. But I hope we do it playing some football this time.

As it was against Cardiff I'm guessing Jamal's strike will win it. It WAS a classy goal as well.

I wish we did what Newport County pulled off and scored 2 in the first leg. We're going in front of home fans for the first time in a year. We should have the advantage.
Totally agree. Connor has had a great season too and Fulton has often impressed but Ayew has made a difference. And that's what wins you games.

Has to be Ayew. Roberts and Cabango were excellent as well. I think Lowe did well getting 14 goals while not always playing his best position.
