Usual waffle with little of substance to hang your hat on. They say they've invested money but WHAT money? Sure, they purchased the previous owners shares (without involving the Trust) but that is NOT investment, certainly not in the club or players. In the meantime (give or take a bit) they sold Gylfi for £45ml Shelvey £12m; Fernandez £8m; Fabianski £7m; Oli £20m; Dan; £15m; Rodon £12m; Celina £5m.
I may have missed a couple but I calculate that player sales have brought in capital well in excess of £120 million. Okay, I realise there have been some player purchases and also wages and overheads etc to pay but nevertheless............ What I want to know is, apart from the purchase price of the shares, HOW MUCH OF THEIR OWN MONEY HAVE THE OWNERS INVESTED IN THE CLUB TO BUY PLAYERS ETC. Nothing so far as I know. Please correct me if I'm wrong. In fact, we have so little money we can't realistically pay a couple of million for a player and, by the way, meantime we can't even maintain Status One for our Academy, which surely has proved to be a brilliant return on investment producing the likes of Oli, Dan and Rodon who were sold for good money as well as other assets such as Connor Roberts.
No, so far as I'm concerned our owners are carpetbaggers intent only on asset stripping our club of all they can before they sell it and move on. If anyone has any evidence to the contrary, I'd be delighted to hear about it. But don't insult me with fine words that mean sod all. Heard it all before!
