Luton leveled it at the last minute. Unbelievable, Preston only manage a draw. Crowded table right now.
Excellent results for us today.

Wednesday v Forest = 1:1
Fulham v Brentford = 0:2
Millwall v Derby = 2:3
Blackburn v Bristol = 3:1
Luton v Preston = 1:1
QPR v Barnsley = 0:1
Reading v Stoke = 1:1

Need Leeds to finish the job and trash Cardiff tomorrow.

Cardiff, with an unexpected 2-0 win, leapfrog above us in the table and are up to 7th place, same number of points as 6th place Preston.
Cardiff play Preston away next week. I hope they draw there and we win so we can do the leapfrogging.
Our mindset should be just keep on winning and the table will take care of itself.

Definitely. If we win the next four games ;)(Luton H, Millwall A, Wednesday H, and Birmingham A), then I'm sure we'll be in play-off places. The other top Championship sides play each other, so they'll be losing points.

The season is not over until we all play each other home and away. It balances out at the end

Very encouraging run of fixtures now that I see them all. Focus only on our results and we could well be within the playoff places for the final few matches. Though our end of season fixtures are tough, we could yet make a push with Gallagher and Brewster.

Agreed. From what I saw and everything I've read, those two along with Ayew who is such a class act, are so important for us. We need some more craft in midfield to help us keep possession and create chances and I'd like to see more use made of Celina and Dhanda - Fulton there for the tough games and the others when we want to attack the weaker teams A) to get a result and B) to hike our goal difference.

Goal difference will be key as the teams above us have a better goal difference ...for now.
I think we have a chance, take away the difference a baying crowd makes and it's down to football . We have a good defence and a good offence, we can out football most teams so could win more than we would have before. Millwall will suffer without their crowd for example.

A full season with Brewster and Ayew and we could be on the top right now. We lost a lot of points giving up late goals. Dhanda is good, we have lots of decent talent on the bench. I knew this would be an exciting finish.

Yes, we can, but we don't do that very often. Our passing accuracy and possession % have deteriorated compared to last season , and we don't dominate our opponents as much as we could. Our own players have been trained in passing football under Potter, some even under Rodgers and Laudrup, and the loanees come from clubs where passing football is a norm. So, why don't we pass from the back like we did last season under Potter? Why do we panick and hoof it and invite unnecessary pressure where there is a better option? Why don't we pass opposition to death? Why do we give possession away cheaply? Poor passing has cost us many points this season. I bet it's more than 10 points wasted.

I think Andy Pandy has a lot to do with that.

In patches our football has been great under Cooper. But already in the beginning of this season we had a trouble with teams who pressed us high on the pitch. And we still do. We panick and hoof it, instead of pass us out of trouble. By doing this we constantly invite pressure, and the result of that is that we allow too many shots against. Pitty, because we are so much better when we pass the ball properly.

On the other hand, we have improved massively at defending set pieces. And we score from set pieces as well. Under Potter, every time opposition had a free kick or a corner kick, you just knew they would score. Not now. Under Cooper, we also have more shots and shots on target.

The problem with Coopers football is that its not consistent, we have a good game, which doesn't necessarily mean things will be the same against all opposition, it's a case of horses for courses, the mark of a good manager is one that can evaluate the oppositions weaknesses and exploit them. It would seem Cooper thinks as the lads had a good game this week same again next week, irrespective of the opposition. We have a bench capable of a variety of formats, and even as subs are never used to to best of our ability.

I actually like the idea of playing OUR game irrespective of the opposition. But we don't, and this is my main complaint when it comes to Cooper's quality as a manager. I mentioned in my previous post that we play some great football in patches, and @ivoralljack pointed out that we do play good football for 10,15 or max 20 minutes per game. That's not enough. Why does Cooper never shout at our players when they start hoofing like headless chicken? I would be mad if I was a manager, and I would fine them for every sloppy pass and every lack of movement that gives a passing option.
