And his birthday. What can they do with 11 men? There were a lot of things to rage at today. I did not see getting 3 points after that red card. Montero needs to start. There were good passing runs. Same situation happened against Huddersfield last season. At least we have players that can win a game like this. I'm glad they got the card.

I feel sorry for CBB. I hope he serves his suspension, gets this behind and powers on. Glad we won the game, it will take some of pressure off his back.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! What an absolutely FABULOUS result. So proud of the lads winning in adverse circumstances like that. And they won it in style with two terrific footballing goals. I mean, ten men after 5 minutes then no Fer, then no Olssen (who I thought had a good game). Our defence was superb and battled themselves into the ground but when we broke, we looked dangerous and played some great football.

No criticism of any of the players but a special mention to Jeff Montero who turned the game for us. I might get pelters for this but I prefer him as an impact sub because, when he starts, the oppo have time to work him out and kick him as well, which he's none too fond of. Coming on with 30 minutes to go gives tiring defenders a problem that they just don't want and that makes him so effective. Two great footballing goals and three precious points. What more could any Swans' fan want? Apart from the Idiot's balls dropping off, of course.

Now into the IB with two weeks for the lads to work under Potter and allow the bumps and bruises to heal. What a confidence booster!! And they SO deserved it. With luck, by the time we return to action, Bony won't be that far off and Oli, bless his (short) cotton socks, will surely welcome some help and muscle up front to share the load. Brilliant, lads. Well done!!

Imagine what GP could actually achieve if the thieving greedy barstewards actually backed him .
They should hang their heads in shame.
Well done GP. How many different formations did he use today? Plan A B C and D. Best team and managerial performance for the Swans in a long time. long may it continue

You theiving Yankee Swine get out of our club and take Big nose and his bum chums with you

Different game all right. We showed up and showed you how to play. We spotted you one player for 91 minutes, gave you a goal lead and in front of your own crowd you still fucked it up. I guess we were shaking pretty good today. We only needed 10 men to show you and your home crowd quality, character and total football. This is a glimpse of what Prem football is like, something you'll never really know.

Main stats from the game below and, if I may add, pretty damned good stats considering we lost B-R then Fer and Olssen in short order. And I'll say it again, the lads were all special in this game with particular mention to Montero who played a dazzling cameo for us to turn the game.

Possession: 60-40 Shots: 11-8 OT: 2-2 Corners: 5-3 Fouls: 12-8 (Millwall first)

PS: Mulder in the Sun's team of the weekend but no Oli.

He was indeed, CJ. But so many of the lads were excellent as well. Oli ran himself into the ground battling up front on his own. Apart from the odd lapse the defenders put in a great shift. Celina made some fine passes; young Dan threatened constantly (if only he could finish). I could have named them all but settled for the collective. It was a fine team performance and they all deserve mention.

BUT a word of warning. We were great against Leeds and most of us were wondering by how much we would beat Bristol City.......... and we stunk the place out. Good performances are welcome and they are great to enjoy. But they are no damned good unless we consolidate by winning the next game - or at least threatening to. We never came close against Bristol.

On the bright side, by the time we next play, Wilf Bony will be two weeks closer to his return and I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to seeing him and Oli terrorising opposing defences. Nice! :)

Thought you all might like this particularly as club legend Wyndham Evans provides some great commentary. Love the observation that B-R's tackle wouldn't have even been a foul in his day! :ROFLMAO: Nor in mine either and I've still got the scars on my legs to prove it if anyone wants to take a look!

Yes watched it earlier, had a little smile about it myself. Montero the provider for both goals, do I detect a change in his play? normally he's hell bent on getting to the by-line before crossing, this game he came inside early into the final third, very reminiscent of Sinclairs style of play.

I watched it, too, great stuff.
The commentary was like two mates chatting in the stand. A seasoned footballer and his mate Statto.
Sample snippets:-
"I can't remember a Swan sent off so early"
" There was Taylor against Forest, Wyndham, remember?"

Yes, your right, I think it was even sooner than this red, under 2 mins? and think we held on for a 0-0 result.

Spot on! There's a snapshot on SCFC official site of Monk and Tate at the end of the match, looking like surviving gladiators, tired but victorious.
