Looking on the bright side for the second half … Soton can’t possibly be any better than they are, and can only get worse. We can’t possibly be worse than we are, and can only get better.🤷🏻‍♂️

Like I said it can’t possibly get much better for them, nor worse for us. We could be a set of practice cones and they still couldn’t do better

LadyGG told me last night that it would be a public humiliation and she's right. If we can't/won't match their movement then slow them down in the old-fashioned way - but we're so wimpy we can't even resort to that. We're being murdered outside so Williams, aka Martin Lite, has to re-organise to stop it. We have to up our intensity and start to get fcuking physical with them. Soton are happy on the ball because we're allowing it. We should get in their faces and let them know they'll pay a price for getting possession. My God, Ducks would have climbed into half their team by now on his own. But our entire team doesn't have the attitude, the character, the sheer bottle of someone like Ducks and that's why we're getting stuffed!!

Agreed, Ivor. Before the game I thought that the best way to stop them would be a relentless pressing and a physical approach. Williams is naive.
