LETS RAM IT UP THE RAMS (and Rooney )

We gained the upper hand in the second half but offered to shape or method to our attack. It wasn’t going anywhere any time soon

I wouldn't rate anyone above a 4 from 10 and the bunch of tossers in midfield a 3 each. Do they not know what a midfields' function is supposed to be? In attack they created sod all and did sod all to prevent Derby pouring forward at will. So what do they think they are there for?

Derby were stronger in that they won the great majority of tussles; they were faster in deed and thought throughout the game; they were fitter as they showed far more energy than we did and, Rooney, a complete rookie of a manager, outdid Cooper in terms of tactics and motivation of his team. They were at it from the first whistle whilst our lot were thinking about even phoning in a performance.

This wasn't just a bad day at the office - it was a gutless capitulation and it irks me to think they actually got paid for that load of shit they produced. Interesting to see what the response will be in the next game.

Really disgraceful tonight, we can never win those matches. Coming off a win like we had just to lose to Derby.

Well, when all the dust has settled we're still fourth but, worryingly, Norwich and Bournemouth are starting to open up a gap.

Could it be a case of no pre- game motivation or in play motivation. The Cardiff game always has and always will be self motivating to the players.
Grimes as captain doesn't seem to understand what being a captain actually means. Ayew apart there doesn't seem to be any player to player communication. Our defence, reputed to be the best in the division was appalling for their first goal, then they continued to play us off the park, with at least 50% of our passes going astray. They continued to pound us, hitting the upright and the bar, then the killer second goal. We in reply didn't even have a shot on target for the entire 90 minutes, This against a team that previously only won 2 games, scored just 8 goals and conceded 22 in 18 games. Someone has to come up with the answers and reasons for this.

One thing is for sure, we've got to get back on the horse against Barnsley and wipe that nightmare performance from our memories. Our midfield has to start playing as if they know what they're doing because last night they looked like they didn't have a clue.

Cooper has to freshen things up and he can't keep relying on just Ayew to keep providing a spark. The man is human and is beginning to look tired of carrying the rest on his shoulders. Our wing backs were terrible against Derby neither attacking nor defending properly, an accusation which can equally be levelled at a midfield who took the night off.

I see a distinct lack of character in this team. When the going is good they all strut their stuff and look good but when the other team press them and get in their faces, they melt away and become a bunch of wimps not really interested in fighting for it. Character is equally as important as talent in football and we've got to show far more of it.

@ivoralljack ... and the team captain is Grimes. Don't know him personally, so probably not fair to judge, but both on the field and in video interviews off it, he hardly strikes me as somebody that has a rampant pride and passion for good work and a visceral distain for those that mail it in. As such a Roy Keane type he is not, and to get out of this league we need a Roy Keane type. We're trying to take prisoners only to end up being the imprisoned.

Cooper has failed to rotate sufficiently during this hectic spell, changes due to injury , but few to freshen the team, same attack , midfield, and wing backs for most games, Bidwell and Connor hardly rested, Ayew and Lowe permanent fixtures ,, no wonder we had lead leg players out there.
If radical changes are not made against Barnsley we can expect more of the same , players need to maintain optimum fitness not maximum stress . No good putting out your best 11 if they are too fucked to run !
