Tragic news that Shane Warne passed away today at the young age of just 52. This follows yesterday's shock news that Rod Marsh has also died. Warne was arguably the greatest test bowler in the history of the game and was certainly the greatest leg spinner. He amassed hundreds of test wickets including many in Ashes games against England (and Wales). His ball to dismiss Mike Gatting is considered by many good judges to be the best ever bowled. It was his FIRST ball in test cricket and now known as the "Ball of the Century".
Rod Marsh was a world class wicketkeeper-batsman and would easily rank in the top ten of all time. Both were fabulous cricketers and will be sorely missed. RIP, guys, thanks for the memories. You will be sorely missed.
