LAST GAME IN THE LIBERTY MUD

We are going to have to improve our sloppy passing from out of defence, Barnsley have a young, fit , athletic squad that play a high line and press relentlessly in a pack.
Tactics that we always struggle to negate. Their form is good and come to us with confidence high. Let's hope we are up to the challenge today.

If we play as we did against Derby we'll lose, simple as. That was a performance which disgraced the players and we want no more of it. Today will be a tough game against fast improving Barnsley. We will need to be 100% better than last time out with the players having been warned that a repeat performance of the farce against Derby will not be tolerated. We need 3 points to stay in touch. Anything less will be failure.

Here's our problem ...

Our MVPs this season are: Ayew, Roberts, Bidwell. Top scorers and assist makers.

Lowe doesn't create shit. Our midfield players don't create shit, which is why Dhanda is getting a run of games ... at least when he's going forward he looks like he can make something happen.

We need more production, more creativity out of midfield ... and Ayew's partner in crime Lowe. After all these games together, Ayew and Lowe are still playing like they've never met. When I think about it, Ayew has never really struck up much of a partnership with anybody he's played with up front, not even his brother. This is probably Ayew's biggest downside.

I like Manning a lot, but until he can start putting up numbers like Bidwell, he's always going to be on the bench. If we don't play Bidwell and Roberts, but rest them for Naughton and Manning, then we're removing the crux of our scoring and assist making from the game. Not even Andy Pandy is dumb enough to do that. The risk here is that our wing backs cover a lot of miles during a game and suffer a lot of wear and tear ... fatigue and or injury to these two can seriously impact our promotion hopes. We HAVE to get our midfield to contribute more.

Let's hope no one gets hurt on the last day of this pitch.not sure how long the new one will survive if both the Swans and Ospreys are playing on it.
