Just read that the Sun ( yes I know ) have reported that the Swans have said that they want to move on their two highest earning defenders , Federico and Mawson.
Fernandez had indicated he was happy to stay , a class defender he would have been excellent in the championship , that leaves us with Bartley as our sole CD. As Amat is likely to stay in Spain . Yet another crap decision by the idiot ?

What about van der Hoorn? Thought he was excellent last season. I understand moving FF on to save money as both he and vdH play on the right side, though I would have far preferred FF to stay. He'd be a monster at that level.

Nothing wrong with the Sun!! I enter the daily codes and get a free fiver credited to my bank account every 28 days. I take the paper anyway, so it's free cash for me. So far I've banked £70 and there's another fiver in the pot, which I'll leave to accumulate.

As for FF, I totally agree that we should keep him for Championship football. Seems the asset stripping is underway.

Agreed.
FF and VDH would be a super combination in the heart of our defence in the championship.

Talking of combination , as a young teenager I used to watch the Swans in the old Combination league , courtesy of a free pass given out in school which also gave us access to the rugby in St Helens.

Used to watch Glamorgan's games free as well. My oldmans old workmate Archie used to work on the door to the members enclosure :cool:

Spent many a happy day at St Helens as a member watching the cricket. I combined business with pleasure by taking paperwork to do and a well stocked cooler box with plenty to eat and drink. Happy days. VERY happy!

I also did likewise watching Glamorgan play in Cardiff, Llanelli, Ebbw Vale, Abergavenny and Neath.

Pretty obvious what the intentions are of Jenkins and the Yanks, no investment, sell before you can buy.I wonder just how aware Potter was made of this situation,it puts the brakes on any attempt to start the basis of team building for the start of the season which isn't too far away.Jenkins just couldn't care less how the club progresses now, Its fulfilled its purpose to him and his cronies and they'll hang on in there until they glean the last drop of blood from it.

In my opinion they are a bunch of thieves and liars but I don't see how we can get rid of the bastards. I attended a meeting of the SCSA with @The Blobster where the mood was pretty upbeat with all sorts of action being promised. Other than a few protests, the silence since has been deafening.

As far as SCSA is concerned talk is cheap, since it's formation it appears it's achieved nothing. I would think the mood of supporters in general will have changed in the past month or two. With the arrival of CC it looked like we would survive Premiership status for another season by the skin of our teeth, which meant at worse suffering another season of Jenkins, but I would think the bitterness towards him has now increased tenfold due to our relegation. Surely this is something this SCSA should pounce upon. Big pre-season demonstrations, media coverage, and when I say media coverage inform the American media of the plight and unrest this takeover has caused with its fans. It may at least embarrass them into releasing some finance.

Perhaps they are biding their time and seeing how things go under Potter.
A mistake in my mind , the more pressure that can be put on them the better.
The minimum they should be doing is hounding the board on the swans official twitter and Facebook pages.

Exactly !I don't see any reason for Potter to come into the equation, irrespective of his progress the management of the club is the issue rather than team management,Potter will have no say in how any incoming finances will be distributed, and now it seems neither will the Trust. We now have three people in control, niether of whom can be trusted. As said, the objective of this SCSA was at least to endeavour to remove the instigator of this mess we're in,have they given up before they've even started. I remember they were going to have protests but didn't want Jenkins to get wind of them. Why?. Advertise the fact in the E/Post, I'm sure attendance would be tenfold compared to this time last year, organise it for the first home game and keep it going every home game.I know Jenkins is thick skinned, but constant protests will either force his hand or force the yanks hand for him.

I have not seen nor heard of any search for somebody to replace HJ's role as a CEO / Chairman. Pearlman has the COO role, although the scope of that is not clear. I presume it covers commercial operations but its scope beyond that has not been stated. One would hope that he would have control of finance and operations in general. If so we need a Technical Director to report through Pearlman and that would render HJ redundant.

In practice, I think getting rid of HJ is not going to happen until the Trust take legal action to its logical conclusion and the Club's new owners jettison HJ and other lingering waste to minimize the public relations down side and collateral damage

For me the next step is to see where the Trust is by the end of August. They have the trump cards in their hand - or should.

Yes, it's a very feasible and believable prospect. Far too much silence from the Trust, and with some of the evidence available to them now, WHY ??
