ELECTION NIGHT

I love elections and the tv coverage. I've wanted to say so much about this one but didn't want to break the forum rules about politics. All I will say is please don't WASTE your vote. This election is possibly the most important one since WW2 and will dictate the futures not only of us but of our children and grandchildren. The latest polls show that the gap has really closed between Boris and Corbyn - or between Brexit and God knows what. I'm certainly going to vote because, should the party I voted for lose, at least I'll have done what I could.

Anyway, it will be takeout food for me, a nice bottle of red and endless cups of coffee and snacks to see me through the night. :) I always watch until the early hours, or at least until I can see which way the wind is blowing. Pray to God it blows in a favourable direction for me tomorrow.

The action won't really start until 10pm when they kick off with the exit polls. Then it goes on until the early hours as the results come in.

I think the quote of this election campaign was from Corbyn's bedmate Diane Abbot "We will borrow enough money to get us out of debt."

Exit poll in and Boris is predicted to have an overall majority of circa 80 seats. We shall see.

Well Boris IN and the end of the odious Corbyn, Abbott and McDonnell. Perhaps Labour can now get their act together and get some good people in to form a robust and viable opposition, which every government needs to keep it honest. Personally I abhor all political parties and regard most politicians as self-serving, corrupt arseholes..... with one or two exceptions. However, of the choices available I thought that Boris was the best bet and hope that he goes on to do a good job for us and get Brexit done once and for all. Lots of Labour supporters lent him their votes this time and he needs to see that he doesn't betray their trust in him by looking after their interests.

I don't think any party could have inflicted the amount of damage on the Labour Party as Corbyn himself has done.
