This is excellent news! I didn't think they would sack him, first manager to be sacked during the season since Clement. They are saying Nathan Jones is not in the running, I suspect it will be a name none of us have heard of. Obviously has to be someone who will play possession football. I hope it's not some random American, who was the one they were interested in before?

I don't think it's a bad idea to look at other leagues, he doesn't have to be from the UK. Toshack would be nice.

I don't fault them too much for trying something new with Duff, but the experiment failed they have to return to the possession based football again.

The most positive thing to take from this is that they recognized the experiment was failing and terminated it before it had failed absolutely.

I love the move for that reason. Martin was allowed so much room to basically idle in second gear in the middle of the table and waste a couple of seasons. Nice to see some assertiveness, admit the mistake, nip it in the bud, move on.

Clearly not a happy camp. Senior implies Grimes and Fulton, Naughton, Joe Allen and perhaps the more senior of the new / young cohort Cabango. This group would have understood the Swansea Way and the full meaning of the loss to Cardiff.
