Duff sacked

This is excellent news! I didn't think they would sack him, first manager to be sacked during the season since Clement. They are saying Nathan Jones is not in the running, I suspect it will be a name none of us have heard of. Obviously has to be someone who will play possession football. I hope it's not some random American, who was the one they were interested in before?

I don't think it's a bad idea to look at other leagues, he doesn't have to be from the UK. Toshack would be nice.

They probably won't want try to lure any current managers away if they have to pay a fee. They haven't hired an established manager like Eustace or Mowbray in awhile. I don't fault them too much for trying something new with Duff, but the experiment failed they have to return to the possession based football again.

The most positive thing to take from this is that they recognized the experiment was failing and terminated it before it had failed absolutely.

From the same BBC article:
Players were said to be equally unconvinced. When Swansea's stranglehold of the south Wales derby was broken by Cardiff in September, it is understood a senior group of players made it clear they disagreed with their manager's approach.
Clearly not a happy camp. Senior implies Grimes and Fulton, Naughton, Joe Allen and perhaps the more senior of the new / young cohort Cabango. This group would have understood the Swansea Way and the full meaning of the loss to Cardiff.

There's a few of these memes going around are they real?
Ary visited 'the worst team in the world' ( -190 and something goal score) trying to help them. His visit is a part of some TV show. I can't remember the name of the club but they are in the Swansea area.

Forgot about them. They must play Duffer-ball but find running with the ball with a beer-belly extremely difficult ... for many reasons, most of all they can't see the ball at their feet.
