OH MY GOD. Huge news. Amazed this happened. Definitely the right call. It was always a bad fit. @ivoralljack you must be crying with happiness.

Bit soon I know, but who's next?

John Eustace?
Nathan Jones?
Carlos Carvahal?
Scott Parker?
Cameron Toshack?
Paolo Sousa?

AFT ... about fucking time. Perhaps LadyGG said somethings that hammered home the truth!?! This couldn't go on, and I wonder where in the decision making mix of this were the Director(s) of Football (there are two guys with highly similar titles ... back office no longer listed on the web site).

ONLY someone who understands our DNA and can add to it. Carvahal - didn't he get us relegated from the Premier League overseeing a terrible end to the season? Also ruled out is Scott Parker, an abrasive player who would expect his team to be the same. Nathan Jones is a Cardiff fan at heart although he is a decent enough manager. But didn't he crash and burn at Stoke? CT for me. A short term contract to see how he goes with a longer term if he proves successful. Please not the cheap option in KOL who still has much to learn and definitely not Alan Tate. Laudrup anyone?

Since KOL wasn't appointed interim, I don't he's going to be remotely considered to replace the guy who was.

Coleman has a pair. And not prepared to see mediocrity and dire performance lead to further decline and risk of relegation; he pulled the trigger. Fair play, now let's see if he's learned something about recruiting coaches and managers.

Let's also see if this lights a fire under the squad and what we get when they're not subject to Duffer's "system" .... and for starters who starts at #9 on Saturday.

Bookies odds as quoted this morning - note NO Cameron Toshack in the list:

Nathan Jones 5/4
Chris Davies 6/4
John Eustace 11/4
Luke Williams 10/1
Steve Cotterill 10/1
Alan Sheehan 20/1
Steve Morison 25/1
Steve Evans 25/1
Steve Bruce 25/1
Stephen Kenny 25/1

Steve seems to be a popular name for football managers but, all in all, I feel this is a pretty uninspiring list with some names included that I wouldn't touch with the proverbial barge-pole. I'd like to see some foreign managers quoted who would have more knowledge of, and access to, players from abroad. Scandanavia is a good source of talent as @CroJack has pointed out to us on a number of occasions. Hey ho, you pays your money and all that but almost anyone should be better than Michael Duff was, providing they are left in no doubt that our squad like to play FOOTBALL and are just not equipped or built for the physical stuff.

I'd like Kjetil Knutsen or C Tosh first. Not too inspired by that list either. There's talk of Ryan Mason too, one of Spurs coaches. If I had to guess right now I'd say it's going to be Nathan Jones.

Or Pep Lijnders who is Klopp's assistant manager and whose motto is "intensity is our identity". Liverpool play attractive, attacking football and dominate possession. They are always attacking and pressing, and their transitions and counter-attacking are deadly.

However, a change in recruiting philosophy is imperative for any successful manager at Swansea. It is necessary to immediately release all players lacking pace and recruit those with pace. And this should be done in all positions, not just in attack.

Yes. One example is Johannes Hoff Thorup who is a manager for Danish Superliga club FC North Zealand (FC Nordsjælland). This small club based in a small town north of Copenhagen play lovely, attacking football under Thorup. Last season they finished second and this season they've trashed Bulgarian title winners Ludogorec Razgrad 7:1 and Turkish giant Fenerbahce 6:1 in the Europa Conference League. Michael Essien (Chelsea legend) is his assistant manager.

If he shows up with joe Jordán in tow he’s got my vote. That would recalibrate some players’ attitudes and effort that’s for sure
